Without them we would not have RG3 or any kind of future. I agree that they do need to show improvement for the remainder of this year and next season but too soon to be calling for heads. If we do not make the playoffs by year 4 changed so need to be made.

Because we wouldnt have had such a high draft pick. Lol. Seriously though i think any FO in their rite mind with Rex Grossman as their qb would have tried to deal for that pick and RG-3. It wasnt exactly a Tom Brady- ish pick.

My whole argument was that you shouldn't be calling for heads but it is kind of disgraceful and reflects very poorly on the front office on the state of the defense.

No, you fire Kyle two years ago, one year ago, and today because he can't put a whole game-plan together and there are multiple examples in every game where the defense reads the play before the ball is snapped. The most important three today were all option reads btw, but even further down the line they're still important "misses." While I don't like Mike as a personnel guy, and I think he needs to rediscover his offensive genius, I'll take Mike running the offense completely over Kyle's game-day performances.

The calls for Hazlett's head are justified too IMO. Tell you what, Mike letting his kid, and the NFL, know Kyle's holding this offense back, and then booting the defensive coordinator because he's holding the defense back, could look desperate and I'm sure ESPN would try to spin it that way, but it would really show Mike is serious about finding a winning combo. We have the talent, get the "brains" on game-day sorted out and let's win a few against the good teams!!

I say we just fire everyone. Make RG3 the Head Coach, and leader of the Redskins Organization. He doesn't need plays. Just take the shotgun snap from 8 yards and play street ball.

I thought Kyle did a good job today except when he decided to run the option with RG3 and Niles Paul on 3rd down late in the game. WTF was that bullsh*t? Rather see a shovel pass or a WR screen.

Cam led his team to a National Championship, and his junior college team to a national championship. He led a crappy Carolina team to a 4 win improvement in season #1. He was a leader, and he was always smiling and upbeat last year. He's being broken there now under expectations and pressure because the team can't play at a higher level.

Robert looked genuinely hurt to me by this loss, almost quizzical, like "what else can I do?" He has to feel let down by the way this season is going. Especially considering his high level of play. Shanahan has done a bad job, in my honest opinion, of giving him a strong supporting cast with an attitude, and he's had 3 years to do so. Not halfway into his rookie season, and already it's all on his shoulders. Winning is a mindset, and that comes from the top.
I think Robert would be Genuinely....insulted (and possibly amused) by your suggestion.

Let's not get into an iggles situation here -- firing Shanahan for the defense's failings is as bad as Reid firing Castillo for the offense's failings.

I know they had a bad day, but had the team in position to win with 1:30 left. 480 yards of offense, but what, 4 or 5 turnovers. Very hard to win in the NFL with that many turnovers. I would say today was definitely a rarity rather than a norm on the TO front.

Yeah but if they don't have a bad day, they probably would not have been in that position at the end of the game. The offense had 3 turnovers, were 0-2 in the red zone and could only come up with 3 points off two turnover by the defense.

I think what the defense did at the end was terrible, but let's not forget those offensive miscues that would have made the game very different.

Something not alot of people are honing in on. If quarterbacks have so much time eventually one wr is going to get open. This is the biggest argument i have about it being haz over the personnel. Either every player on our d is under performing or they arent being put in a position to succeed.

Losing two of our best pass rushers in week two didn't help at all. We need more of them two. Hey at least now I hope the FO see the value in not teading a guy like Rak for some picks, unless said picks are used on more pass rushers which would seem rather redundant.

That was just yuck.

Lol last year we won what 5 ? .are we way better? No but Griffin makes us Mo doubt better overall than last year. We'll win 7-8 games at least this year

We definitely have a shot to win 7 or even 8 games, but we'd have to be sharper than we looked today to do that.
