Niles Paul starts? Wow surprisingly stupid. His play has been garbage on the field, he needs to step it up

Well that's the depth chart. But those often mean nothing

Paul is a beast on ST. TE? not so much. Paulson, Cooley, Paulson, IMO should be depth. Though I think they are trying to get Paul into the flex position of the pistol like Davis was to catch the quick slant off the playaction read.

Well there is never a better time to shine than stepping in for an injuried player. Pauleson was top notch last Sunday, I have a hard time believing Paul could have made the same plays. Who knows maybe he steps his game up, but he is a beast on special teams.

Yeah I think Paul's expected increase role on offense is one reason why they signed KW. To make up for Paul on special teams

Well he has been an OC for what six years? Had some really good talent in Houston, whom by the way, have not missed a beat since he left. What he did here in Washington his first two years was - well- no comment. Now RG-3 is making him a genius again. Man up? Maybe. Step in a big pile of shit when they landed RG-3 to save his job? More like it.

Your argument is one of distanced generalizations and thereby is not fair to Kyle. You have to look directly at how Kyle does his job.

For sure, last year I criticized Kyle a lot on this board. Certainly he had little talent to work with but I felt he did a poor job of maximizing what talent he had, which is his job.

This year, however, Kyle has been bringing it. It is not just that he has a brilliant new QB. On a weekly basis this year Kyle has been excellent in exploring new wrinkles and putting Gryphon in a position to succeed. Our exciting new offense is more than just RGIII - it is also Kyle's doing a bang-up job of getting people into positions for success.

I hope you all know that Niles is arguably our best blocker on the team that isn't on the OL. I watched parts of the Giants game last night and he was blowing back LBs, Safeties and did fairly well against the DL (well except Pierre Paul, but no one can really block that guy one on one). His catching will improve the more he gets thrown to.

Good post Lotus. It just doesn't make sense to put all the blame on Kyle for when things weren't going well with Rex and Beck at the helm, and now with RG3 it seems there are folks that want to give all the credit to RG3 and none to Kyle.

And given the high level of production the offense has put out this year, the fact that some are still bitching about Kyle just rings of hater-ade to me. Give it up already. If we had a middle of the pack D we'd probably have 2-3 more wins. The offense clearly isn't our problem.

I think he is a great blocker, but that is ONE block you have to make everytime. That was a huge mistake, dont blow it off saying no one makes that, thats crap.

Arguably our best blocker not on the OL and not named Royster or Morgan

so we want to 'make up for' one of our best special teams players to put him on offense where he hasnt done well? cool. sounds smart.
