As in all things, relationships undisputably open doors. Generally though, and particularly in the ultra competitive world of professional sports, once in - it's on you to man up. I would suggest that Kyle has done just that and, from what I can tell, is very well respected in the league.
JoeRedskin 10-23-2012, 11:02 AM Jumped the route? Did you watch the play? Jumping a route is either undercutting it or making the cut better than the receiver. The guy who intercepted was the safety behind the play. No body jumped the route on the int. RG3 double pumped it and never should have released it. That ball was complete if Paulsen doesnt stop his route. It was a mis-communication between a TE and QB who dont normally play a lot together.
Sorry, you're not going to the get the Goat "Strong Post" stamp of approval with comments like these - (1) You failed to criticize Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan, or Haslett and (2) you compound this failing by pointing out something that demonstrates it was not Kyle's fault. Accuracy be damned! I don't care if the ball was beyond the intended receiver - the safety jumped the route.

As far as the defender sitting back, what you mean is he was playing safety. And last I checked, every safety in the league plays safety, except M. Williams apparently.

At this time of year, however, pickings are slim and, I suppose, better to have a plug and play guy than hope to find some developmental guy who is a liability every time he steps on the field (insert Niles Paul joke here).

I'd much rather have a true Redskins on roster who desperately wanted to go out on his shield (and now gets that chance) than some immature super hero who has never got it done.

I don't think adding Cooley was necessary either. Would rather see Young, even Grant in an expanded role in the passing offense

Well he has been an OC for what six years? Had some really good talent in Houston, whom by the way, have not missed a beat since he left. What he did here in Washington his first two years was - well- no comment. Now RG-3 is making him a genius again. Man up? Maybe. Step in a big pile of shit when they landed RG-3 to save his job? More like it.

cooley wil step right into Davis' spot.. otherwise they wouldn't have signed him back if he wasn't going to play ahead of paul and paulsen... and i'm glad he will.
