No need going backwards. Cousins backs up RGIII or starts.

Im not sure that i would consider putting the more experienced qb who knows the offense better going backwards. If the season was out of reach than yes lets see what cousins has got. Not now.

Much rather have Cousins.. Reason why you drafted him.

You actually started it about the game and hoping RG-3 would play this weekend with a link to the article about his concussion. Did you think that was not going to lead to talk about his concussion?

Yeah, I didn't realize we had so many professional doctors before I made the thread, and it made more sense to start the game thread with information about the upcoming game then make a thread about RG3 and if he will play.

I realize we drafted him to ultimately back up RG3. Dont think anyone was thinking week six though. Im more concerned with our immediate season than i am with kirk cousins development or future Rite now id rather go with what i know we have in Grossman and the possibility of good rex than someone who is still wet behind the ears.

I don't really watch college football. Is Cousin's mobile? We need a mobile QB to score points consistently, and Rex can't waddle away from pressure to save his life.

yeah hes mobile enough - definitley more so than Rex, and I think that one day he is going to be a better qb than Rex - just not this Sunday.

edit: if necessary

Well i would rather give Cousins the experience now, and he be ready to fill shoes sooner then later right? What's he got to learn as the 3rd string? He needs to be ready now, and to be honest.. He looked just as good Rex did all last season against the Falcons.

Kirk Cousins was projected to be a 2nd round pick. How he fell to the 4th round no one knows. Mike Shanahan did the right thing in selecting him. He was too good to pass up when he was available. In conjunction with RG3's concussion, it was a wise move for the Redskins to select Cousins when they got the opportunity.

Wow -that sounds like some good ole ES stuff rite there.
Classic - never watch football - close the thread??? lol
All im saying is I am sure there was some thought about playing/not playing him this week as well there should be.
To dismiss the fact that he suffered a concussion because he is not as fast as a race car is crazy and over the top.

I never said I feel so strongly about anything Im just making some points. Did I say I dont think he should play? No. I said it is not an idiotic thought like you guys are making it out to be.

I don't think ANYBODY is dismissing anything in regards to RGIII's discussion. However, relating a concussion from a driver who is accelerating over 100mph and slamming into other solid objects to a QB getting hit by another player is comparing apples to oranges.

What we are saying is, LET THE INDEPENDENT DOCTORS decide. Keeping him out a "extra" week isn't going to do jack shit if he's cleared to play this week. If his concussion was mild or minor, I see no problems if he passes the tests and some qualified expert clears him. So if they don't have a problem with it, why should you?

That bit about feeling strongly about it then stop watching football didn't translate as well as I wanted so disregard that part.
