True, and who knows, he probably wouldn't have come, but he is one of the best 3-4 guys out there.
If we can't throw oodles of cash at Wade, what about Nolan... oh yeah, that bridge is probably burned too:(
I wouldn't want Mike Nolan either. When he was the Redskins DC in the late 90s, those defenses were at the bottom of the NFL in yards allowed. That was the biggest of Norv Turner's failings during his tenure as Redskins head coach. He had a powerful offense but no defense to stop the opposing offense which is why Turner's record was a dismal 39-59-1 as Redskins HC.

You would think sooner or later based on pure probability we would hit on one of these guys. We're way overdue.
Are they all strike outs or do we give up on them too soon?

Maybe he has learned a little, as he has been DC on some very effective defensive turnarounds (Denver Miami, and now Atlanta). I do wonder why he doesn't stick in one place too long. Probably a red flag.

If my memory doesn't fail me. Nolan did good in DC for a couple years then all of a sudden his defense fell apart.

I have no idea who he is but am 100% positive he's better than Cundiff. Say what you want about Shanahan, but atleast he moves on quickly when he realizes he makes a mistake.
We also thought Cundiff was better than Graham Gano. Turns out they are the same inconsistant fg kicker.

^ Gano is actually better than Cundiff. Gano made a 59 yarder last season while Cundiff missed a 57 yarder this season.

I would not have either one of them for a Euchre partner.

Gano is not better .............we just are unlucky with kickers. David Akers should still haunt us. Neil Rackers should of been picked up but we will give this kicker a nice try.

Not to be a Negative Nancy, Debbie Downer, Pessimistic Patty, etc. but I have a very very strong feeling that Kai Forbaths first FGA will be a miss...
