Really enjoyed this article. I think it highlighted both Snyder's flaws and his humanity in a really balanced way. I can certainly sympathize with how hard he apparently takes Redskins losses. For some reason, hearing that he boozes until 1am/4am makes me feel a little bit more of a kinship with him (even though I have had absolutely no role in the team's player personnel gaffes of the last 13 years).

This may be a bridge to far, but I've always wondered if Snyder suffers from some form of bipolar disorder or, maybe more likely, Asberger's/autism. He's a guy who just really wants people to like him and to have friends, but because he has social difficulties, he sees money/power/celebrity as the only reliable way to achieve that goal.

He might social anxiety disorder or something. I've never seen an owner be so afraid to reach out and try and connect with his customers. And pounding beesr til the wee hours of the morning after a loss? Dude has serious issues.

I am not a Dan Snyder fan. I don't think he's a good owner, and I do believe deep down that he cares more about making a profit than putting a winning product on the field.

HOWEVER:

It appears that he truly has learned his lessons and has majorly done the right thing by finally letting the team have a GM that makes the decisions, etc. You look at the successful teams in the league and that's what you see.

I won't attempt to make a judgement on the human/personal side of Dan Snyder, because I don't know the man. Everything that I have heard from people close to the team / players, etc, all say that Dan really is a nice guy behind the scenes, a loving family man, etc...

I have heard it mentioned more than once that one thing Dan is obsessed with is having friends, being liked, etc.. and I also agree with the assesment that he may have some kind of personality disorder..

I'm no Crane brother, but from my observation he doesn't have any sort of disorder. Not even sure how that conclusion was reached

This.
He's just a rich guy who want's the one thing he can't buy. He's kind of like Ebeneezer Scrooge, but backwards....he gives out too much money. (And I don't remember ever seeing him with a turkey).

Owners should always stay in the background where they belong. And let the coaches do their jobs and coach. Dan Synder at least got the team RG3!

And for some reason I have always pictured him swimming around in a pool of gold coins. Like in Mr. McDuck

I would take Dan over all but a handful of owners. He isn't cheap and he loves the team. I think deep down, he runs the team like a lot of us would.

How's my people on here could honestly say if they were owner they wouldn't meddle?

Plenty of people have personality disorders that aren't really apparent until they're in certain situations. Actually most of us do. Disorder is probably a bad word. Abnormality is better. Apparently being in position of holding a public trust makes him crack in some way. Nothing wrong with it but just an observation. Personally I am just super tired of this conversation in general.

Heres my problem with this article. It says that he would go out and say to the public what they wanted to hear and go to his default always of "I'm a fan just like you all" which is what we wanted to hear (and that he would stay out of football operations), but seriously how do we know that this article and what we've heard from the past isn't just more of Dan Snyder trying to feed us what we want to hear?
