Hog1 10-02-2012, 08:22 PM I'd at least sign for the kids. How you can you say no to the kids?! ^^^^^ NC_Skins 10-02-2012, 08:50 PM I'd at least sign for the kids. How you can you say no to the kids?! If you are a self-absorbed asshole who thinks he is the greatest thing to walk this earth and puts himself and his glory above anything else, it's easy to say no to kids. JoeRedskin 10-02-2012, 08:53 PM Joe Redskin has refused to give me his autograph. Yet I forgive him. Hey, I trust you with my seal of approval. What more do you want?? Bucket 10-02-2012, 09:32 PM I would never sign autographs for fans. Fans are so hypocritical. One moment they think your the greatest, and then the next.. They want you out of town. Seen it here on a daily basis. NC_Skins 10-02-2012, 09:36 PM I would never sign autographs for fans. Fans are so hypocritical. One moment they think your the greatest, and then the next.. They want you out of town. Seen it here on a daily basis. That's hypocritical all in itself. Seeing as how they would be paying you. gangstalicious 10-02-2012, 09:37 PM I have a friend who married a Redskins cheerleader. He despised Darrell Green. He said he would turn down little kids. Ignore them and was nasty to fans in general. Your lucky you didn't ask Michael Jordan for one! The Chamillionaire/Michael Jordan Story - YouTube DynamiteRave 10-02-2012, 09:39 PM I would never sign autographs for fans. Fans are so hypocritical. One moment they think your the greatest, and then the next.. They want you out of town. Seen it here on a daily basis. Its the least I feel a player/celebrity could do since they're basically funding your paychecks. There's nothing quite like being a celebrity/athlete and an asshole on top of it. If you have a grudge against adults that's fine, but kids did nothing to deserve being shunned in such a way. vallin21 10-02-2012, 09:40 PM So Darrell Green turned down my GF for an autograph. It was at a Wizards game before we were even dating and he said to her..."If I do it for you then I have to do it for everyone else"...so at least you got something. Personally I'm just not into asking another dude for his autograph, and I know it was for someone else but whatever. I wouldn't base my opinion on someone just cause he didn't sign an autograph the way you wanted him to. My nephew had the same experience with DG. He's 19 now, but was 15 when he got "turned down" by Green. My brother and his family are slightly conceited; so they're at Smith and Wolensky's in downtown DC; my brother tells my nephew it's DG and tells him to go over and ask for an autograph. My nephew approaches DG, and DG tells my nephew "Sorry, I'm eating." Kinda rude, but here again my nephew, when he was younger was kind of a spoiled brat. I've never been into adults asking other adults, for their autograph; but for a 15 year old redskin fan?? I lost some respect for DG. Great player kind of a jerk. Alot of kids idolize athletes, and we in part pay their salaries, so to not sign for kids is not right IMO. That said if they don't want to sign an autograph they don't have to. Compared to DG, Sean Taylor, from what I heard was a friendly guy and great at signing autographs for the fans; On the surface you'd think it'd be the opposite. I understand the adulation and irritability that would come with chillin' at a basketball game and one person asks for your autograph and then suddenly becoming bombarded by a bunch of people wanting your autograph. But it wasn't like that with McNabb. I saw him in the hotel lobby about to board the team bus. He was just being a straight up bitch about it. I actually threw whatever it was McNabb had scribbled into the trash because it was so meaningless. |
