I want to point out Seattle's amazing secondary. Their one guy who wasn't drafted by them in the past 3 years, was Brandon Browner. He was a CFL free agent. So my message to the Redskins is that they need to look at CFL stars and give them some tryouts.
Chris Wilson, they know.

....seriously?...I'm talking about good players not STer's and role guys. We need to keep going towards CFL guys then.

It's very early to look at 2013 but I'd def like clady at RT, and a few dbs mentioned for sure.
I actually think if we get Clady we move T Will to RT. Not that Cladys a better LT but I think T Will would be the better RT. I see what we ask of our RT in the run game and Will would be a game changer in that role.

I just looked some up by team, the skins look pretty good to be able to resign everyone, unless Sav Rocca and Rob Jackson get crazy offers from someone else. Cincinnati will be interesting to watch, they have alot of money to spend just to resign their own guys.
PFF has a great list of free agents by position and team. Danny Amendola for hands and speed? Not a great offseason overall for CB & LB free agents.
CB has a great class to me. DRC, Grimes, Talib, Sean Smith, Derek Cox, Cary Williams, Mike Jenkins, and Sam Shields. That group looks good to me.

The big knock against CFLers is they don't have the 40 speed that NFLers do, but man they know how to cover and if you are like Browner and jam well you can rely on safety help on those 9 routes.

Because starting quality NFL players are just falling off the wagon in the CFL.
It's a different game, has different skill sets and, in general, has talent that is just not up to NFL snuff. A handful of CFL players have what it takes to be a roster player in the NFL and most of those as only role players. Only a very few CFL guys are solid NFL starters and, even then, b/c of the differences in the game it is not particularly easy to find them.
The Skins clearly scout the CFL and are willing to sign talent. If it was easy picking successful NFL talent out of the dross that is the CFL then everyone would do it.
It's from 2010 - but here is the only list I could find. Recognize any of them? No? Think there might be a reason for that?

It's not just the 40 speed. It's all of the physical factors - strength, quickness, accuracy (for QB's). If it is measurable, the vast majority of CFL'ers measure out below NFL talent.
I used to watch the CFL in Baltimore and the game is just slower, the margin for error bigger. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game and certainly some players can make the jump. As a rule, however, CFL players wouldn't make the practice squad of most NFL teams.
