I like him better than Jackson and Wilson.

Trying to make the best of a bad situation. Now is the time to implement a new defensive scheme in my opinion. Why not go with a 4 man front of Kerrigan-Bowen-Cofield-Jackson with steady substitutions?

I'd like to see more nickel as a base D with Crawford as the primary n-back. Teams are passing over 60% of the time, and a 4-2-5 would seem to be a better fit in today's game. Gomes or Meriweather would be used as a hybrid linebacker-safety to stop the running game and cover the tight end.

Also now is be the time to go with a steady press-man cover scheme with Wilson covering the #1, Crawford-Griffin #2, and Hall the slot or back. Having 2 safeties gives protection against the deep ball still, and Hall is always in position to blitz or help with run support. Have to disrupt receivers' patterns to throw timing off, and play a more aggressive, physical brand of football without all out blitzes leaving the secondary vulnerable.

It's all about utilizing talent with positive matchups. Keeping the 4 man front fresh throughout the game while minimizing linebacker coverage responsibilities seems the best fit for the current roster in my honest opinion.

I mean WTF seriously ..Skins' fans are starting to piss me off on this site ... like all the hating on everyone week to week ... dude we have a good defense .. obviously the Rams we were snake bit but losing those 2 players is a huge loss .. i agree w/ Jenkins it's his time to shine .. but Rak come on, that dude was straight up beast mode. They have been his while career though. I mean ill blame the amendola crap on that but on some other throws he had all tge time in the world?

Alot of passes were quick release and I blame our poor coverage/scheme for them to keep hitting us with them, but our inability to get to Bradford cannot be overlooked. I think the best blitzing teams would have gotten to him or atleast hurried him into alittle less accuracy.

Sometimes a QB is going to have time to throw the ball. Even the best don't put pressure on the QB 24/7.. Bradford quick release and drops was the reason he wasn't getting sacked. We were not pressing the WR's so it's easy to throw a 5 yard hitch or slant and watch your WR run for 4-8 more.

No one is talking about how rare it was for Bradford to have deep drops. He was getting the ball out so quick, even the best blitzing team wouldn't get to him. that's when a good defense starts pressing the WRs. We didn't do that.

What is really funny on here is if you are just a crappy role player or 3rd stinger and you get hurt. OMG! People will go off on here that he was the most important element of the team (see our Safety situation). Yet when a legit star quality player like Rak goes down it is oh well not a big lost. Rak was on the decline; guy was not living up to hype, etc....:doh:

Rak is a great player and it's a terrible loss..but I'm not ready to give up on the season over losing one player. We have 14 games left and unlike the past we have some quality depth. Make it work Haslett. That's what your'e being paid for.
