The Redskins secondary wasn't that bad last year considering how they played down the stretch run. In comparison to how they played earlier in the year, the defensive backs improved tremendously. The secondary coach stopped having the cornerbacks play trail technique so frequently, probably ordered by Coach Haz, and they played more man to man coverage and less soft zone coverage. Help is still needed in the secondary, most notably the two safeties.....
In the upcoming draft, the Redskins will probably select a safety and CB with their first two picks.... Need to Know: Kiper has Redskins going safety - Rich Tandler's Real Redskins (http://bleacherreport.com/tb/d9s6M?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=washington-redskins)

The assumption is that he can be cut, but that's also without understanding the massive cap hit that would happen because of his guaranteed money. Kinda like cutting Jamal Brown, but way worse.
DHall can be cut at anytime with very little, if any, dead cap space. Hall has no guaranteed money left (Or very little, I have heard estimates of literally around 300k at most). What you have to understand about Hall is that his guaranteed money is part of what our 36 mil cap penalty is about. We used a little known clause that allowed us to bring guaranteed money that is normally prorated over the life of the contract to be due in one year. Under normal circumstances, it counts against a cap. Since this clause was enacted in Halls and Haynesworths contracts during the uncapped year, the NFL hit us with a 36 mil penalty over two years (The amount of guaranteed money from both contracts that we dumped into the uncapped year was 36 mil).
Halls guaranteed money has already been paid to Hall during the uncapped year, and counts against the cap in the form of the 36 mil cap penalty. There is no double dipping of cutting Hall and having the guaranteed money count twice against the cap (dead cap space as well as the cap penalty).
i dont think we should cut him, just dont see him as expendable at this point..

If we don't cut or restructure him, then we take a 9MM cap hit. Hall wants to come back, and coaches probably want him back. In all likelihood, we'll cut him and resign him at a lower price.

We need Hall. He wants to come back and we need him to come back. The pass rush needs to improve too. No pass rush = no pass defense.

Madieu Williams stinks, everyone else is serviceable. but certainly none of them except perhaps Wilson would be starting for a decent team.

If Hall restructures he comes back. Period. We dont have the picks or cap space to use towards that many holes we need to fill.
Yea he's got an attitude but he has been huge in a few games this year.
