Fisher has produced such quality, good-character players- pacman jones, Albert haynesworth, Vince young, and cortland finnegan.

Just imagine the look on a bouncers face, if they pulled up in front of his club.

First the redskins had to play against the bounty-gaters, then the instigators, and next week the most-arrested. Make no mistake- the bengals' uniforms are prison orange jumpsuits with prison bars painted on their helmets.

But the proof is just right there plain as the nose on your face... The secondary is thin as hell and the starters are mostly pretty bad, meanwhile they have had basically zero real chance to upgrade the starters (considering they've addressed so many other areas of the team) and are still forced to employ guys like Hall and Doughty.

3 offseasons is an eternity to fans, but this isn't Madden franchise mode.

So you are blaming talent level for that horrendous showing Sunday? You mean the same talent level that kept Brees high scoring offense in check for most of last week?

The defense was horrible for a few reasons but most of it didn't have anything to do with the talent level. The problem is that the game plan sucked defensively. You can't run a zone defense without getting pressure on the QB. It's simply not going to happen. Even with Carriker and Orakpo out, that DL should have been taking advantage of a Rams OL that was out 3 starters. They didn't, and it allowed Bradford to eat up our secondary. ANY QB in the league would have torched us Sunday with that type of time behind center. Adjustments should have been made a lot sooner, but they weren't it we suffered greatly because of it. There is a reason why Haslett is on the hot seat, and it's not because the talent level.

Mind you, we were down 2 starting safeties as well. As much as I can't stand Vinny, we can no longer blame him for the outcomes of the game. I do however think that he left Mike with a bigger mess than what people realize though.

Hate to say this but Brian Orakpo is starting to look like a injury prone player. Now they r saying it may be the same tear? Geez

I think so.

I just posted in the injury thread that we will miss him. And we will. However i believe he is injury prone and maybe trade material in teh off season.

Would'nt suprise me one bit.

D. Hall has been playing lights out this year so far. He loves the team and was on the sideline watching the game as the offense was rolling. He wasn't sitting on the bench, he was IN THE GAME. I don't think he's a starting CB, but he sure has found his calling at the nickel position. He's made key tackles, and playing good.

The Redskins have faced two gamers at QB the last few weeks. I'm actually pleased with the way the defense has played to start the season. Gomes, Hall, J. Wilson, C. Griffin, and Reed Doughty have played great. I am somewhat concerned about the huge passing yardage the secondary is allowing. Hopefully we will get better in that area.

Offensively, I couldn't be more pleased. We're averaging 34 points a game so far this year which is nearly twice as much that we averaged last year.

Again, we are all sad and talking tons of crap about our secondary, but like I said, were they put in a position to succeed last game? I didn't see them losing individual match-ups.

Now, let's see some more man coverage against the Bengals and we can make judgements. Even Cedric Griffin did well against the Saints and that was mostly man.

So was the blocked punt during this game the first one for our new temporary snapper? Are snappers in charge of calling out protection schemes just like centers do? I ask because one of the blocked punts in the SD/Oak game had nothing to do with the actual snap, it was just a huge block assignment mishap.

you can blame the refs, but our D was disgustingly bad and the real reason for the loss. haslett called a horrible game.

how do you let a guy get 42,381 catches on you and not stop it.

At this point I have a problem with Danny Smith's personell on the punts. He has a safety (reed doughty) in the middle responsible for picking up any defenders that get past the o-line over center. He has Doughty in there because of his ability to get down field, shed blocks and make tackles but he is not used to picking up blitzes. I would like to see an offensive back with that assignment at this poingt - a RB, FB, or TE. ANYONE with experience picking up blitzes.

Yep
Didnt Mike Sellars use to be the guy in the backfield on punts?
