Merriman is fit for the 3-4 scheme as a blitzing LB. Isn't the consensus he doens't have the size to play the typical DE role?

Daseal 02-24-2005, 01:44 AM I really feel like the Raiders got a deal on Moss.. I see them drafting defense. Just do. They have great RBs, a good line, a good QB, and two adequate starting WRs. Just get some defense and they'll be okay! ST21 02-24-2005, 05:54 AM This is Bullshit, I just as big of Redskin fan than any other good blooded redskin, but should we care about having all core guys, I mean Randy Moss makes a team a Playoff team every year, He'll tell me we couldn't have gotten Randy Moss, for and peep this guys, tell me this wouldn't have worked, Pierce, Garner, and Smoot, Keep out First Rounder and give draft, Williams, with this all Minnesota have to do with the 7th pick is...............Get Mike Williams.....this is bad for our draft chances of getting an impact player like williams..........this sucks MTK 02-24-2005, 10:10 AM I said it in another thread, don't count on the Vikings taking a WR with that #7 pick, they still need plenty of defensive help and they seem pretty happy with the emergence of Burleson. Even if Williams and Edwards are gone before #9, I can't see Williamson also being off the board. Daseal 02-24-2005, 11:25 AM wewhite - I also think we could have given MN a better deal for Moss. I think we could have kept our first round pick - or traded with them. As long as we gave them another pick. drew54 02-24-2005, 01:15 PM I said it in another thread, don't count on the Vikings taking a WR with that #7 pick, they still need plenty of defensive help and they seem pretty happy with the emergence of Burleson. I think we should be able to trade out of this spot and maybe grab us a #2, at least a #3 and some late rounders. I would much rather see us have a lot of draft picks than a few studs. Especially since we have so many guys coming and going, and the potentical cap purge in a few years. The more young depth we can find the better. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw Plaxico wearing purple next year. drew54 02-24-2005, 01:19 PM I've heard that the Vikings will most likely pursue a FA WR, with some experience. If Williams and Edwards are both gone, I would definitely look to trade down and grab either Williamson or Clayton and pick up an additonal pick. Marty booker is their number 2. Come on... They may have a difficult time signing anyone until they figure out who owns the team. |
