Skins vs Saints predictionsdavy 09-05-2012, 11:47 AM Skins 14 Saints 34 Meks 09-05-2012, 11:51 AM Which is exactly why i didn't pick us to win and also because New Orleans is hard to play against in their dome. that is a hard place to play, its gonna be a tough game for us... our D really needs to step up they have alot of weapons... i do feel like we will take shots down field tho, and the saints can be ran on sometimes so i feel the stretch run setting up the play action boot and variations of it will be huge in this game.... i expect some fireworks from both teams, honestly just hoping we can keep up... and hoping for a big W and an un-scathed RG3 The Goat 09-05-2012, 12:05 PM I never, ever want injuries to happen, even for teams I really dislike eg Giants, Cowboys. But I have a bad feeling for Drew Brees in this game. Our front 7 is going to be real nasty this season and Brees is a smaller QB who just signed a massive contract. 28-10 Skins in the above scenario If Brees plays the whole game 35-17 Saints irish 09-05-2012, 12:28 PM This is a Saints team that is a SB contender playing with a chip on their shoulder. This looks like the Bears preseason game to me. Saints 38 Skins 13 RedskinRat 09-05-2012, 12:38 PM Watch the Baylor Vs. Oklahoma (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTNz-PL2Pz0) game and just change the uniforms, maybe a little less scoring. Our D line will be the reason Brees can't get too pass happy. Evilgrin 09-05-2012, 12:50 PM 28-20 Saints, I think we will play respectable, but you have to put your money on Brees against Cedric Griffic & DeAngelo Hall (especially if its close late). Ruhskins 09-05-2012, 12:56 PM 28-20 Saints, I think we will play respectable, but you have to put your money on Brees against Cedric Griffic & DeAngelo Hall (especially if its close late). Especially when you'll have Haslett getting all zero-blitz happy. BigHairedAristocrat 09-05-2012, 01:01 PM The saints are without their head coach, an offensive genius and saints offensive play caller. They're also without their interim head coach, a former linebackers coach joe vitt. Their head coach for the game is Oline coach Aaron Kromer. I'm not going to say the saints are suddenly going to be garbage because of the coaching situation, but it definitely will be a factor. Payton will not be involved in game planning and he won't be calling plays and making crucial decisions. It's not like drew Brees is Peyton manning and serves as his own defacto offensive coordinator and play caller. The saints will probably start out strong and have a decent halftime lead. But well make better adjustments at halftime and outscore them in the 2nd half. Whether we win or not depends on how much of a lead they got in the first half. My prediction: Regulation ends with us tied at 30. We win the coin toss. Banks takes the overtime kickoff to the house. Final score: 36-30 redskins. firstdown 09-05-2012, 01:09 PM I just don't get how some of you guys spend all year talking about the skins and when we finally get to the season opener pick the other team to win. I know your "keeping it real" I say get real and pick the team you spend all your time talking about. Saints are a good team but we have enough talent to kick their ass in their house. I see little brees running around trying to keep from getting his head knocked off. Banks makes a few big returns and our new toy (RGIII) kicks a little as. This is his coming out party and I don't think we saw shit durn preseason. Chico23231 09-05-2012, 01:11 PM key to the game is going to be our ability to counter punch. Being able to absorb a big play, quick score, etc and not getting overwhelmed. Our red zone defense is going to be key, hold them to 3 instead of 6. We should be able to run the ball and we should do it often especially when we are on our side of the field. Use the clock. |
