Skins vs Saints predictionsPigskins 09-07-2012, 02:14 PM If I were haslett I would offer my players money to take Bree's out of the game, like a game within the game........... natesurfn 09-07-2012, 02:33 PM I'm really just hoping for a trap game. Maybe we can catch the Saints off gaurd and overconfident. htownskinfan 09-07-2012, 02:58 PM Looking at how our starters looked in preseason against the pass it doesnt look good.Jay Cutler went thru us like a hot knife thru butter,Andrew Luck pretty much did the same.If we somehow can control the clock with a good running game and keep the ball out of Bree's hands we'll have a shot.If they get a 10 point lead where they can tee off on RG3 were toast.Remeber this is RG3's first game,he looked good in preseason but im sure he was facing vanilla defenses also. If we dont turn the ball over and can get some pressure on Bree's maybe we have a shot.Time of possesion dont mean shit against NO,so even if we controll the clock with a good running game it will help, but in the end might not matter Meks 09-07-2012, 02:58 PM I'm really just hoping for a trap game. Maybe we can catch the Saints off gaurd and overconfident. ^ i feel like thats an unlikely scenario, given they more than likely feel the need to step up and prove something... I'm hoping more for an over-zealous saints team to focused on being great without Peyton at the helm ... making mistakes playing like a younger more in experienced team then they are trying to over compensate for lack of their coach and pride getting in their way of focus and performance... Or, we'll just go out and play prolifically and it will be a huge momentum builder and win for us. REDSKINS4ever 09-07-2012, 04:00 PM I'm expecting a huge game from Alfred Morris against that no good Saints run defense. It should open up the play action pass and RG3 to go long to Garcon, Morgan, or Hankerson deep. MTK 09-07-2012, 04:02 PM We don't even know who is starting at RB yet. SkinzWin 09-07-2012, 04:04 PM Yeah reduce the amount of time Brees is on the field or our secondary, either way you want to look at it. Yeah valid way to look at it for either. Plus Haslett used to coach on the Saints, don't you think that's some extra motivation to win right there? Dial up some heat?! Pile it on. Rough 'em up! But don't say that. For money. Or gift certificates to Bath & Body Works. SkinzWin 09-07-2012, 04:26 PM Wasn't sure where to put this but thought it was an interesting piece of stat-age. From Adam Schefter's 10 Spot (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/page/10spot-12week1/time-now-rookie-qbs-adam-schefter-10-spot) on ESPN.COM. "The Eagles' opponents combined for 625 sacks last season, which is the fifth-most by any group of combined opponents for a team in 2012, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. It looks as though Griffin, Weeden, Roethlisberger and Flacco also will be on the run quite a bit more than other quarterbacks. The Redskins' opponents this season combined for 649 sacks last season, Browns opponents had 636, Steelers opponents registered 635 and Ravens opponents rang up 630." So according to this stat, the teams we are playing this year have the #1 combined total number of sacks from last year in the NFL. Don't like hearing Griffin having to play against those odds. Monkeydad 09-07-2012, 04:40 PM We don't even know who is starting at RB yet. Neither do the RBs! skinsguy 09-07-2012, 04:55 PM Neither do the RBs! LOL! So true! |
