That was before he was against it. Or was it after he was for it. Or was it before he was after it.

This convention is nothing more than energizing the base, I will be surprised if there's any bump for the Ds after this debacle. Might even see Romney's advance get stronger.

Agreed. Dems are on the defensive, asking for patience instead of talking about accomplishments. Republicans are now in the same positon the Dems were in during the 2008 election talking about a failed presidency and telling the American people that they can get us out of this rut.

I don't recall hearing anybody say this. Link? Clinton and others have stated that R&R want to go back to the " failed policies that got us into this mess " , as the Dems are claiming that the Bush tax cuts are what caused the problems. The Truth is , Presdent Clinton passed the

Not sure why you brought up the subprime lending act as I don't recall them specifically saying this which is why I asked for a link. I'm quite well aware of when the banking deregulation took place, but I think you are off base on what he's talking about. The failed policies he's talking about is:

1) Cutting taxes for ultra rich
2) Increase military spending
3) Sustaining wars on foreign lands
4) Deregulating businesses and banks in general

However, lets look at the bill you are talking about. You do realize this bill wasn't brought forth by a democrat right? It was 3 Republicans that sponsored this bill.

Sen. Phil Gramm (R, Texas), Rep. Jim Leach (R, Iowa), and Rep. Thomas J. Bliley, Jr. (R, Virginia), the co-sponsors of the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act.

If you look, a vast majority of those opposed were democrats. So let's point that finger in the right direction. Thanks!
