WOW. Sad sad day. Cooley has always been a true Redskin. I know that is devastating for him. Man….

Any chance he returns on the cheap as was discussed earlier?

Wow, this was one that some of us probably saw coming but didn't want it to happen. Cooley was a class act and a true Redskin. Hopefully if he goes to play somewhere else he returns to the organization in some form or fashion and continues to contribute to Redskins Nation. HTTR!

If there was any question that this is a new era in Redskins football, there's no longer doubt. Shanahan is putting his stamp on the team. Younger, cheaper, focusing on upside.

The only person who apparently ever suggested that has been Chris Russell. So if it does happen, he deserves all the credit.

That sucks! Thanks for the laughs and the good years. One of my fav's for sure.

Sucks to see him go, but everyone's time comes eventually. I wish him well.

Just reading the latest tweets sounds like Cooley is really bummed. Says it will be hard to put on another jersey.

Hope he can come back with a discounted price. I really thought his move to FB and the thin talent at that position with Young not being 100% healthy would save him...but then again, reality says we can't pay a backup fullback that kind of money.
