***Just heard a rumor that Grossman is to be cut and Cooley to be re-signed.***
At this point, it's just a rumor. Can not verify.
They should have made that move a long time ago, who cares about a veteran QB that is basically bad. I rather go with a rookie like Cousins, he will make rookie mistakes, Grossman is a 10 year veteran still making rookie mistakes.

Things are never as they seem
Cooley was loved by many
Maybe Cooley wants (needs?) to get away from home for a while
I'm just saying maybe being close to home is not what would help him. Maybe a fresh start and a total recommitment to just at least trying to become the player he once was would benefit him. You could apply it to any player in this situation really, this isn't exclusively about Cooley
..and just like that, all these statements clicked at once.
You knew this whole time didn't you?..lol Hearing from insiders on ES that a big reason to his downfall is because he partied hard when he should have been rehabbing. His partying evidently led to him being promiscuous and hence his divorce.

Ditto. Grossman appears to be a waste of a roster spot now. Cousins appears to be the backup, in which case Rex should never see the field again as a Skin. Try to trade him (yeah right lol), so just cut him loose and bring in someone who will/could actually contribute.

I thought that's what he was pretty obviously insinuating, but didn't want to assume anything without facts.
This is sad...they seemed like a great match for each other. I'm guessing that it's just much more difficult for any high-profile person (2 people in this case) to maintain a marriage. So many athlete and celebrity marriages end this way.

..and it says more that he didn't take his rehab as serious as he should have.

About time someone broke it. I was holding back for a LONG time.

Why can't couples stay married for 40 and 50 and 60 years anymore in this country? Damn shame. I hope the Redskins hurry up and re-sign Cooley.

^^ I read in a history book not too long ago the highest divorce rate in American history was...wait for it...the years after WWII. Kinda makes sense when you think about it though.
I wonder if Cooley's head is really in the game right now?

This is Chris's second marriage. No surprise. He's a football player, shes the hottie after 4 years of realizing you like eachother for looks and money and not personality and other stuff, it happens.
Chris's head clearly isn't on right, right now. He probably wants football though to get his mind off of this. But lets all be honest here. The last time Chris was good was 08, then injuries started to hit that man hard.
