Per John Keim, Jamaal Brown had hip surgery and will be out another 4-6 weeks.

Washington Post's Mike Jones broke the news. Surgery was to replace a torn ligament in his hip.

I agree. Well, on the plus side, there will be an injury settlement and we won't have to pay him his full salary.

Yeah, he is good as gone. Whether they IR him now and cut him in the next off-season or just simply cut him now is only question at hand now.
