Im glad to see him go elsewhere. I thought he was practically a bengal though! Duffman003 03-20-2004, 11:42 PM Oakland will have a nasty d line with ted washington and sapp. Who are they going to double team, someone who weighs more then 350 or sapp who is an unbelieveable dt. cpayne5 03-21-2004, 12:21 AM TWashington and WSapp will get in each others way. So much for a youth movement under Norval. skinsfanthru&thru 03-21-2004, 02:07 PM TWashington and WSapp will get in each others way. So much for a youth movement under Norval. yeah, it just looks like they r getting older and fatter. Shane 03-21-2004, 10:30 PM The plan is to use Warren Sapp as a defensive end along with John Parella, with big Ted Washington in the middle in a 3-4 on running downs. Washington would come out on passing downs and Sapp and Parella would go into the middle on a 4-3. Buddy Ryan's son is the defensive coordinator in Oakland now, having moved over from New England. drew54 03-22-2004, 11:25 AM Did anyone else remember hearing Sapp say he had his championship and now he was looking for the $? dieselhog 03-22-2004, 11:46 AM Sapp is NOT the player he was. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that McFarland has carried him the past season. He's still good but he isn't worth the hype of the money. I am SO PLEASED that the Skins didn't sign him. It means progress is being made. Last year we would have signed him and outbid ourselves for his services. Let his fat ass block the road into Oaklnad and his fat mouth block out the sun. SmootSmack 03-22-2004, 11:48 AM Did anyone else remember hearing Sapp say he had his championship and now he was looking for the $? http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/7165126 "I think people just viewed me as a Buccaneer for life," Sapp said. "They've cut another Buc for life in (John) Lynch and they aren't negotiating with me at all. I'm an unrestricted free agent and I'm open to offers and visits from whoever wants to bring me in. At this point, I want to finish my career with the right team and the right situation for me and win another championship. That last part is what I'm after. |
