Crawford makes you forget about Minnifield's disappointing IR fate. But he can certainly play. But Alfred Morris has been impressive too.

I voted for Cousins. With him we just might be able to dump Grossman after this season. I know that conventional wisdom would be to keep the veteran, but Rex just sucks. I am hoping we can blow a couple teams out and Shanny can put Cousins out there to give him real playing time in a game that counts.

I really believe that for the moment we need to keep Rex until the other guys can take over the 2nd spot.........BUT in the first pre-season game when Rex relieved Robert, it looked like we brought in a...one legged QB....
...No offense intended to any one legged QB's on the WP.

I don't see that scenaro. Montgomery is a solid Center, why shake that up? My prediction of LeRibeus playing was based more on attrition, but I think he'll be great when he gets the chance.

Monty is decent statistically but (re)watching film on the guy makes me wonder how he's still employed in the NFL. He gets slapped around more than Rhianna. I think Ssmack could be right about Monty getting benched if another guy can takeover the signal calling at center, because Lord knows the new guy will be a better blocker.

The problem is that after Casey Rabach, just about anyone looked good.

I voted Morris because he's looked very good so far and his group is the most dinged up. Really sucks that Helu has durability issues...a lot. He's our fastest RB, both 40 time straight line and getting to the edge, and he does a great job after contact.

Looks like Royster and Morris will get the majority of carries early in the season and beyond that who knows because the position incurs so many injuries.

True. Monty would be a solid backup right now, and who knows maybe after getting benched he'd work on strength etc to hold his own out there.

I'm actually going to say Kirk Cousins. There are plenty of rules in place to protect QBs in the NFL but the bottom line is most starting QBs don't make it through the entire season without getting hurt at some point. With Griffin's stature, only slightly more sturdy than Michael Vick, I'd expect him to get dinged and miss two games this year.

I'm counting on Cousins to beat out Grossman for the 2nd job, based mostly on the fact that Rex is a known commodity (a sucky one). He can come in and maybe win a game, or maybe blow it. Giving Cousins the backup role will further enhance his value as a trade chip, too, especially if he comes in relief of Griffin and wins us a game or two.

Backup QB is an important position in the NFL, even if he only plays for 2 games, Cousins would be the most important player on the field during those 2 games.

That and nobody else in the rookie class stands out to me as a big impact guy.

Poor Tom Compton. Even his own mother voted for LeRibeus.
