Brian McNally.
Played DE in college but is switching to LB. He'll have some big plays at the end of a game and everyone will fall in love with him.
Don't think it counts, but Kirk Cousins will be an all star in each preseason game. He'll perform like the second coming of Tom Brady against guys not making a team.
Good pick, that was my second choice.

Robinson. its likely him vs. banks for a roster spot.

Josh Morgan? Brandon Banks? Those types shouldn't qualify
I think Banks should be allowed in the conversation since 99.9% of us thought (atleast prior to training camp reports) that he has no place on this team after his sucky performance the past two years on special teams and non-existence on offense.
A pre-season hero is a guy that has little to no chance of actually making the team. Yet you will have those that are convinced the guy is the already on his way to Canton and we are making a grave mistake by letting him go. And what happens is the guy gets cut, perhaps catches on with someone else's practice squad, but mostly they just fall by the wayside and join the ranks of the Jesse Lumsden's or Sultan McCullough's of the world.
That's a pre-season hero.

Chris Baker for me...I think he qualifies as hall of fame, preseason material

I would add to what Matty said that the preseason hero has a "who?" quality to him. Some people here are talking about "comeback player" award instead.

Maybe someone will jump out after the first game, but I am kinda glad that we as a fan base aren't looking to a no-name to make a major impact for once. I think that says something about the way our program is being built now, and for once, maybe we have enough quality players that we no longer need that one no-name saviour. That is as long as RGIII pans out, other wise the 5th string qb is my bet.

Maybe that is true for you. But for me, we have no chance to win a single game without the great Monte Lewis!

apparently Tim Hightower has now been listed as the number one RB on the depth chart. Dont know if that will hold until opening day, but its something.....

Tristan Davis.. He's got great straight line speed and should flash against future UPS delivery guys and make us wonder why he isn't the starter.
