Regarding The Wire, just watch it.

Completely different type of show than BB or even TD though.

But it's called one of the best shows of all time for good reason.

The Wire is another slow starter. I didn't get into at first and let it drop. My wife watched it all and loved it.

Yeah the Wire Season 4 is considered the best season of TV ever produced. Critically acclaimed, the best TV ever. But dont let that take away from the first 3 seasons.

And I would not consider season 1 slow at all, especially compared to BB or BCS...i would consider both slow especially with singular plot lines.

The Wire juggled multiple plot lines right off the bat, episode 1, season 1. Thats not what I consider slow.

Every post of yours I read I grow a new appreciation of how "special" you are.

I think the Busters and Jsarno's of the Warpath were out shinning your "special" when they were here but now they are gone you are just a big glowing sun of "special".

Shine on my friend shine on. =)

Probably wasn't until halfway through season 1 when it finally hooked me in. It's well worth it to stick it through.

I'm embarrassed to admit I have tried twice on the Wire and it just doesn't draw me in. I am a purveyor of good shows like that and it is simply the one critically loved show I can't get into. I keep thinking I'll try again.

I watched all 13 episodes of the Wire season 1 over the weekend. I'm starting season 2. Really liked most everything about it.

don't worry I'm not quitting my day job to review shows.

Damn that's a serious marathon session.

Season 2 is a big shift from season 1. Some people hate it, others love it. Just keep an open mind.

On another note I've been watching Justified. Not sure how this show slipped under my radar for so long but I'm really liking it. Just finished up the first season and a few into season 2 now.
