I don't get the whole "hate Nickelback bandwagon". I think a lot of people like to do it just to fit in and look cool.

I actually saw them in concert in 2001 before they were in the national spotlight, opening for 3 Doors Down...and you know what, they put on a great show live.

They're not the most talented band, but I don't see anything about them worthy of all of the hate. If anything, you could call their music boring.

They are really horrible bands more worthy of attracting mass hatred like Papa Roach, Slipknot, Blink 182, Limp Bizkit, Green Day...these bands sound horrible live, act like complete a-holes and are generally annoying to even look at. At least Nickelback sounds decent live and other than looking like Jesus, there's nothing really inciting or controversial about how they look.

I dont get it either,it seems to come in cycles. This bands cool for a while then they become uncool. Some bands can be cool, then theyre uncool, then theyre cool again.I think KISS went thru that cycle.Creed was cool, then uncool, then kinda became not so uncool anymore.Limp Bizkit was great at first, then it became the in thing to make fun of them and I dont think they ever came out of it.Its all subjective and opinion.Theres some people on here think The Beasties are the greatest thing since sliced bread,to me not so much.Do the Beasties suck?,No and neither does Nickelback

Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups, having sold more than 50 million albums worldwide,[3] ranking as the 11th best selling music act of the 2000s, and is the 2nd best selling foreign act in the U.S. behind The Beatles for the 2000s.[4][5] Billboard ranks them the top Rock group of the decade and their hit song "How You Remind Me" was listed as the top Rock song of the decade as well as the 4th song of the decade. They were listed number 7 on the Billboard top artist of the decade list and they have 4 albums that were listed on the Billboard top albums of the decade.[6

naw, got down there round 5:45. tailgated with a buddy and had to meet up with another friend traveling alone to the show. The parking lot scene is always slaming and has gotten more liberal each year in Portsmouth. cops were phriendly and the crowd was large and in a frezy last night. General admission makes that venue great. Any chance you get to see a show there, its a must go. Beats the f-ed up va beach amptheatre.

agree. That late 90s, early 2000s era bred a ton of crap music.

Last show I saw there was Train a few years back. My buddy has a slip in that marina right there and we have gone down in the boat and just listened to a few concerts. It is a great venue.

I won some tickets to Styx, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nuggent, but ended up throwing them away (after trying to give them away) the night of the show because i found out it was at Farm Bureau Live. Wtf is that place? We were planning to stay with a friend and go out in VA Beach afterwards but said screw it when we realized how far away it was from the beach and what a cab fair might be. Its like the Nissan Pavillion of VA Beach? Just far enough away from everything so that you cant do anything afterwards?

Loverboy and Rush...? Well Rush is ok. Best Canadian musician by millions of miles: Neil Young

Fair statement.

Maybe all that reefer is starting to cloud your judgement, because Bryan Adams is clearly the best Canadian musician.

Don't joke. BA's early work is great. Everything before that horrible Robin Hood song is pretty solid.

Even those hockey fans that didn't recoil upon hearing Nickelback would be the line musical guest at the NHL Awards are in the "I can stomach them I guess" party. So we ask — nay, beg — of you NHL Awards producers and Nickelback: Give us pyro. Massive fireballs and explosions. Flames licking the faces of the front row VIPs.

Anything to distract us from the Nickelback happening on stage. Hey, it worked for hair metal.
