My wife made me a good pancake/bacon breakfast...I spent some 1-on-1 time with each kid (while the other napped) and then my wife went all Giada DeLaurentis on me and made Lasagna Rolls with Prosciutto for dinner...then we had some nice 1-on-1..nevermind. :D I also watched MJ's flu game in the '97 Finals in its entirety. I never get to just sit down like that but I was told to yesterday. She said to relax and she would do everything. Except, cut the grass, trim the yard, purchase the food, pack the beer down on ice, set up the tables for dinner, and grill the meat. Seemed like the same thing I did for mothers day but it was great. Well, thats until our 5 yr old had a melt down 3 hours past her bed time and my wife asked if I could handle it. Of course, Saturday, I put in a good day's work sanding down and staining the stair treads and painting the trim/risers white, so it's not always like Father's Day. My wife took the kids out and brought me a milkshake back during the job...just to rub it in some more. :D |
