With all this talk about who's going where, who's courting who, and so on. Who do u not want to see on any of the other NFC east teams. I have four guys that come to mind for me;
Shaun Alexander (rumor to be pursued by the eagles)
Plaxico Burres
Ricky Willams (rumored to get interest from Cowboys among others)
Trevor Pryce ( Another cowboys interest)
And lets not even talk about Moss! All are awesome players and would cause problems. Are there any rumors u guys might of heard or players u don't want to see twice a year. :confused:

Hopefully we get Plax. Dallas could pick up anyone and I still wouldnt be scared. I doubt Philly will go after Shaun Alexander whereas Seattle will likely resign him and Philly will resign Westbrook. Both solid backs with good hands, I'd like to think each team will be smart and retain those guys.

I know that we might not want other teams to get certain players, but that's what comes along with the territory. If we are going to be a good team we have to expect that our draft and free agent decisions will be sound and that because of what WE do and not what others do will determine if we are contenders or not.
I have no fears.

Plax is overated, I hope we don't spend good money on him, as for the rest of those player's Alexander is the only one who would make a significant difference, I am not worried at all.

I would just like players to follow in the footsteps of those at New England. Stay and win championships..be a good team and keep the team together....screw the paycheck....

Exactly, apparently New England didn't have anything to worry about. Look who's wearing a brand new Super Bowl ring and it ain't the Eagles.

Shaun Alexander. The Eagles are only team that really scare me; so I'll just worry about them. If we finsih below NY or Dallas again, it will be because we suck ass and not because they got so much better. The only person from that list who would make a real impact on the Eagles is Shaun Alexander. If he went to the Eagles, watch the hell out, they are going to be my favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Cowboys could add one of those guys, but really who up there would make them that much better? Records aside (obviously records are what matter, but you know what I'm sayin), I think we have the second best team in the NFC East, and I dont think by adding any of the above guys, the Giants or Cowboys would jump ahead. However if the Eagles got Alexander; they would move much further ahead, at least in my eyes.

if the eagles were to sign Alexander they would also try to keep westbrook, doing similar to pittsburgh were one or both take a reduced salary for superbowl glory. Last season Dallas had the #1 defense overall and Pryce would be anticipated to bring them back to glory. Ricky, regaurdless of what he does in his spare time he is still one of the best on the field.

First up i am really not sold on the Eagles as the NFC Pats. The Eagles benifit from being the best of the worst or the nicest of the Dammed . Look at any of the playoff teams from the NFC this year and compare them to previous years and you cannot help being embaressed . The Rams, the Vikes the Seahwaks and the Falcons are just not championship quality teams one dimentional and highly floored and do not even get me started on the Farve turnover fest . I am not saying the AFC are leaps and bounds ahead but the Colts, Steelers, Chargers and Pats are all definatly on a higher tier than anything the NFC had to offer this year.
Alexander isn't going to push the Eagles over the top. If they had a firey runner to take the game and run with it to get the preasure of McNabb which something they sorley need to do. Westbrook gets 6+ yards per carry but one of the lightest workloads in the NFL some reserves had more carries than him . Fair enough if it was a young Priest Holmes or maybe a Julius Jones or even a young Bettis someone who is hungry enough to take charge then that might be enough but the thing is Alexander just isnt that guy and if the Seahawks don't keep him I think it is a case of buyer beware just maybe he is just past his best.
Chemistry is everything you just cannot keep adding more and more parts to a team like the Eagles and hope nothing changes. Everyone says how he Pats change this change that but the secret to the Pats is the system where you can plug a no name in there and not skip a beat. The Eagles is becoming a collection of names where a player like Owens goes down and they loose two meaningless but ugly games they should have won even with backups.

Careful here. If the Eagles should have beaten the Bengals easily even with their backups, what does that say about the Redskins who used all their regulars and - - take a breath here - - lost to the Bengals.
The Eagles backups are that much better than the Redskins regulars?
I don't think so...
