But it appears the Redskins already have who they need playing safety. Bruce Allen could always bring him in, but the front office needs to keep their word on trying to get the team younger. Leonard would provide valuable experience, but if the Jets truly thought highly of him he would still be on their team, wouldn't he? Monkeydad 07-19-2012, 12:31 PM Yeah, the Jets have Landry who is already out for training camp, surprise...and they still released Leonhard? That doesn't do much for his value, neither does the knee injury. We have plenty of competition at safety. I'm not saying talent, but we have bodies. I don't think Leonard is an upgrade on anyone. Last 2 seasons, he broke a leg, went on IR. He tore his kneecap tendon, went on IR again. Sounds like Landry-lite.
