Could not agree more. Even if all the scare tactics and doomsday scenarios concerning Obama were true, which they're not, he's still only President of a government with checks and balances one of which is a Republican congress.
However with the way the far right describes it you might think Obama was running for King. Granted I support Romney because I think his plan has more potential to get the economy going but Obama's plan isn't going to destroy America. I mean it might get annoying having 10,000 different EPA regulations to follow and an even more complicated tax code but it's certainly not going to destroy us.
You are always harping on Obama without any rational...Specifically, what regulations and anti-bussiness practice of his administration bother you?
If you cant articulate your opinions with some facts and thoughtfulness you are no better than the extremist.

I did. Well not me personally but I posted this video a couple of pages back which cited multiple examples.

Either way I work in transportation but I'd rather stay anonymous online. Needless to say I deal with the EPA and DOT on a semi regular basis and they enforce enough unnecessary costly rules that make the delivery of goods more expensive which results in higher prices for the end consumer. Heck some of the equipment they force companies to buy cost the same as a years salary for one employee. So instead of hiring a person to help their business, companies are forced to buy equipment where the impact in terms of protecting the environment is minimal.
The video should cite more then enough examples though.

I still remind people who said Obama was the anti-christ and how Obama was like Hitler about waht they were saying back then. Don't alk to me about taxes now. You were on some wild out there stuff 4 years ago and now you want a rational discussion? You just prove you will say anything.
How do you know he was on some wild out there stuff 4 years ago? You have only been a member for 9 months. LMAO

Thats not the way his post sounds to me.
Yeah I don't think he was talking directly to DB59. Even if he was who knows, he could have been a lurker before signing up.

It's possible. I looked back at the 2008 election stuff. I'm pretty sure I posted more but all I could find so far was being upset about not registering to vote with a valid libertarian candidate up for a senate or congress seat and a bad Tina Fey/Sarah Palin joke in the thread where Palin was called out on here $150k wardrobe.
By the time October 2008 came around I'm pretty sure I was rooting for Obama to win. If for nothing more then the fact that Obamacare gave me a chance to be insured with a pre-existing condition. And the irony of Obamacare is for all of the criticism directed at it I loved it because at the very least it started to get the ball rolling on stopping insurance companies from denying coverage and dropping sick people from insurance plans when they got to costly.
Now any plan the Republicans come up with for health care will have to include a provision which stops insurance companies from cherry picking patients given that the patients make an honest attempt to acquire coverage rather then waiting until they're sick.
Also before I forget thanks FirstDown for having my back :D

He was referring to his conservative friends and people he knew that were talking that stupid shit 4 years prior. I'm quite positive he wasn't referring to anybody here.

You're citing Allen West? Well, that answers the extremist question. Did you verify his claims or are we to take them at face value? I mean, this guy seem to imply all the regulation is bad not simply less regulations.
When there is a need for regulation there should be developed in concert with the private sector and done in common sense.
I don't believe Mr. Allen quite understand that regulators aren't suppose to be in bed or do anything in concert with those being regulated. I just hope you realize that this is the reason why SEC is so in effective in dealing with the shenanigans that go on of Wall St.
