Still don't understand applauding anything about what he said.

So while he's an idiot, at least he's consistent with his idiocy?

Ok

One would think "don't be an idiot" is preferable to "being a consistent idiot." People like this should be chastised and chased out from positions of responsibility not applaud.

...but yes, I don't get it either.

And I strongly believe it is MORE stupid for people to have illogical views. To me that shows far more stupidity than simply saying something stupid (which can be subject to simple misspeak or misunderstanding) or taking an unpopular position. If one cannot see the logical inconsistency in being pro-life but only in certain cases then that shows a distinct lack of intelligence in my opinion.

I would like him to explain what he was TRYING to say with the term "legitimate rape". I mean he's gonna lose now so he might as well try and explain it. What does he have to lose?

**** that. I want to know which doctors told him that a woman's body shuts itself down during a rape which leads to less pregnancies. THAT is what the hell I want to know so we can round them up and discredit those asshats.

Mind you, this is the guy on a science committee saying this garbage.

Flip: Kudos to Romney condemning the stupidity

Romney calls Akin’s rape comment ‘insulting’ and ‘inexcusable’ | The Ticket - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/romney-calls-akin-rape-insulting-inexcusable-142622223.html)

Flop: Boo to Romney for being "delighted" to support abortion (even for rape) back in 2007.

Mitt Romney Said In 2007 He Would Be "Delighted" To Sign A Bill Banning All Abortions Nationally (http://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/mitt-romney-said-in-2007-he-would-be-delighted-t)

You can't have the Flip with Romney, without having the Flop to go along. He doesn't just stand for anything, he stands for nothing....lol

He said he would be willing to sign a bill turning it back over to the states. You need to listen to your own links.

I don't have an issue with people being consistent. I too would like him to explain what the heck he was saying though this guy doesn't give me any hope with the inflammatory and off-the-wall crap he has said in the past:

Anybody who knows something about the history of the human race knows that there is no civilization which has condoned homosexual marriage widely and openly that has long survived. [Yes, homosexuality destroys civilizations]

I think NBC has a long record of being very liberal and at the heart of liberalism really is a hatred for God and a belief that government should replace God. [Yes, if Jesus himself was here I am more apt to kill him than love him]

As far as consistency goes, being thoughtful and consistent is admirable, consistently saying off-the-wall crap, not so much. That is to say, wisdom is a prerequisite for admirability.

I agree there. I know there is a not-so-small current of ignorance on this in society but among Drs one would think they'd be pretty up on the occurrence rates on rape-pregnancy. My guess is he, like others, heard this from someone at some point and it had become ingrained in his psyche since he was so predisposed to believe it.

Virginia Republicans Call for Armed Revolution if Obama Wins in November (http://www.politicususa.com/virginia-republicans-call-armed-revolution-obama-wins-november.html)

Boys, git yer guns and torches ready!Do you even read the links you post? For someone "down the middle", this is complete BS. At the top of the website it's tagline is "Real Liberal Politics....". The link mentions several times "Virginia Republican Committee", implying this is a statewide organization.....complete crap. This is the "Greene County" Republican newsletter which is so far out in the sitcks in VA, I've never heard of it. Their vote totals for GOP primary were under 1000.
