WASHINGTON — For his first annual budget next week, President Obama has banned four accounting gimmicks that President George W. Bush used to make deficit projections look smaller. The price of more honest bookkeeping: A budget that is $2.7 trillion deeper in the red over the next decade than it would otherwise appear, according to administration officials.

The latest on President Obama, the new administration and other news from Washington and around the nation. Join the discussion.

The new accounting involves spending on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Medicare reimbursements to physicians and the cost of disaster responses.

But the biggest adjustment will deal with revenues from the alternative minimum tax, a parallel tax system enacted in 1969 to prevent the wealthy from using tax shelters to avoid paying any income tax.

So now Obama is claim credit for the college football playoffs. LMAO He is quick to take credit where its persumed good and blames everyone else when its bad. What leadership.

I think he was being funny bro. Romney claimed credit for the Patriots super bowls and the Red Sox championships. He too was being funny.

90K lead in Ohio for Obama with early results.

Something wierd just happened.

I am 99% sure that it was a 90k lead for Romney, not Obama. The comments seemed to reinforce that too, but i thought i was mistaken based off of your comment.

Now the article is removed. Clicked on it. Saw Romeny ahead by 90k. Clicked back here to check your comment again. Clicked back and it was gone.

A Cincinnati.com front-page link to a chart with dummy data, created as a design template for election results, was inadvertently posted early Tuesday morning.

It purported to show early voting totals in Ohio counties. However, no votes have been counted yet – by law counting doesn't start until the polls close.

Cincinnati.com regrets the error.

^ Weve all seen old people use touch screens in the grocery store. Why would anyone think this is a viable instrument to use in an election???

So... I parked next to a car in my parking lot at home. The car was parked about 1.5 feet from the concrete block that most people pull up to, and the back was full of VOTE 2012: HELLO KITTY. I honestly wanted to stake out the situation just to see who owned it...

Also, saw this on reddit and laughed!
