Seau is the 8th Charger to die from the '94 team.

wow, this is very sad on a lot of different levels. I'm not sure if anyone agrees, but as we learn more and more of the after effects of concussions/brain trauma, it's making it harder to enjoy the NFL as a whole.

I fear that in that too distant future, there will be a movement to ban the sport all together.

Starting to look that way.

So, can we get people to stop talking about Goodell making this a pansy league? There are a lot of good clean hits even without headshots and other things.

No one wants to see there favorite NFL star committing suicide in his 40's regardless of what team they root for.

Good luck to his family as they deal with this tragedy :(

Sadly Seau tried to kill himself a while ago by running his car over a cliff while he was driving. Can't confirm this but I've got a close friend out in SD who told me that Seau couldn't get over a real bad break up w/ someone. That's apparently why he tried to kill himself in the car. Not sure if it was his wife or not but obviously he fell into a deep depression after this break up. Sucks...he has 3 kids.

Again, I'm not saying it will be successful -- but NFL fans should brace for the inevitable.

Wasn't he charged with domestic violence the same day he "fell asleep at the wheel" and drove off a cliff
