This roster decision could be really interesting this year for reasons besides the normal ones: when you pay attention because you're concerned the Skins will cut someone useful.
It actually seems like, on offense at least, there are more than 25 guys who can help this team win, and we can't keep all of them. The position of least depth now is tackle, and then after that, its either running back or tight end. And who would have thought THAT three years ago? That the Skins would have plenty to work with at quarterback, interior offensive line, and receiver, but would be struggling to find runners and cheap help at tight end to back up Davis.
I will be legitimately concerned if there are any bad "keeps" on offense. Not counting Grossman. Giving Polumbus a spot on this team would be pretty indefensible, IMO.
This post kind of caught me off guard (im usually in complete agree w your anaanalys)
You think tackle is the area of least depth, but you think giving Pilumbus a spot is indefeasible? I agree tackle is probably our weakest spot considering tw is 1 puff puff pass away from a years suspension and Jammal Brown is uncertain in most of our eyes. I love Willie Smith but after that whos better then Pulumbus?
Plus Pulumbus can play guard. And while we may have interior depth theyre all young. 2 are rookies, 1 is a 5th rounder and another is the biggest 3rd round reach ever (according to some ppl on this board). And i dont really expect much from Kory L. Until late this season or maybe even next year.
Also after tackle youd list te as maybe the 2nd most area of least depth? Cooley, davis, logan paulson and Niles Paul is worse to you then what we are dealing w at saftey, dline or even corner or lb?
