Hey he got his walking papers after the 1st rookie mini camp.
I have a friend who gives me good info sometimes and he told me they liked Shaw, but he failed the physical Friday morning. Makes sense, to me. I figured he was late or something, but that what my buddy told me.

I want to know who the 36 try outs are. We can guess the 5 first yr players, we can guess the 9 drafted Rookies, and we have the list of the 12 UDFA's, who the hell are the 36 try outs? I know of 1.... Keith Nichol WR as has been mentioned he was invited.

Well you can probably take LB Brian Hendricks from Wyoming off the list.

Players who try out at rookie minicamps without a contract are the longest of long shots to make it in the NFL. Five players who tried out at the Redskins' minicamp this weekend have a chance to have a chance. The Redskins announced that they have signed the following tryout players.

WR Brian Herndandez, Utah
DL Delvin Johnson, Marshall
WR Samuel Kirkland, Kent State
OL Nick Martinez, Oklahoma State
TE Beau Reliford, Florida State
To make room for the new signees, the Redskins released Hawaii NT Vaughn Meatoga and Southern Miss WR Kelvin Bolden.

Big question.... how long will the tryouts be with the team practicing? is it this weekend only or will they be able to be with the team through to camp? I know they bumped the number up to what 90 players they can have in camp but when do they have to be at that number? start of camp?

Let me refrase my question... At what point will the invites not signed not be allowed to be here? after this weekend? Here's my point I like the Keith Nichol (WR) kid. At what point can I figure he's not going to be with the team? Will he still have a chance to impress the team or is that time over after this weekend?

From here, coaches will review the practice film and make their decisions, letting players know where they stand. Shanahan has shown a willingness to retain tryout players in the past, saying that players will know within the next 24 hours if they will be invited back.

"We try to maybe get three, four or five players that we think have a chance to make our football team," Shanahan said. "Obviously, we are a much deeper football team now than we were two years ago."

Those that remain will return for veteran OTAs and mini-camp later this summer, while others will be given the opportunity to tryout again.


I wonder when the next time the tryouts will get a chance again to impress.

Whos Brian Hernandez Cult?

Well He's the small spanish dude who was catching balls at RG3's pro day wearing the skull cap. RG3 specifically chose him to catch balls at his pro day, along with Kendall Wright and Terrence Williams/Ganaway.


Good I have my guy to root for now to make it as a roster long shot.

Yeah this has been pretty hard to follow. It sounds like 62 rookies came to the mini camp which i guess includes all our draft picks, priority FA's, and then a whole bunch of other guys. Of the whole bunch of other guys the 5 that got offers were the ones ColtBrennan59 posted.

Im really looking foward for camp to start and the offical 90 to be announced so we can start trying to figure out who these guys are, but in the mean time it sounds like Brian Hernandez is the long shot im rooting for.
