Gettis should be able to play this year at some point. I'd be really disappointed if he turned out to be like Selvish Capers.

I think if he can bulk up he's got a better chance Mechanix544 04-29-2012, 01:09 PM Yeah but capers was a 7th round Project. I think if he can bulk up he's got a better chance Oh he will, our training staff will add 15 - 20 lbs right off the bat with this guy. In my eyes, this guy has a "more better" shot of making this team and developing into a top guard than Josh. Ive only watched a little bit of tape on this guy, but from what I saw, he was definitively more impressive than our first guard taken, good ol' Josh Leri "short" bus. Back in the early 2000's the Falcons and Broncos regularly ranked in the top 5 in total rushing yards including 2005 where they both finished 1st and 2nd respectively. Both teams were tied for dead last in average weight among starting offensive linemen at 295. SmootSmack 04-29-2012, 02:21 PM Like this pick a lot, Iowa OL are solid, lunchpail type guys. Don't know that either or LeRibeus is quite the guy (yet) to replace Kory L. Which I know is what they're looking for. Maybe Lee would be. Dirtbag59 04-29-2012, 02:37 PM Like this pick a lot, Iowa OL are solid, lunchpail type guys. Sounds like they're worried a lot about his ability to recover from that ACL tear. SmootSmack 04-29-2012, 02:41 PM Gettis? He tore his ACL? Damn, how'd I miss that Dirtbag59 04-29-2012, 02:47 PM Gettis? He tore his ACL? Damn, how'd I miss that Kory L. You said you weren't sure if LeRibeus was the guy to replace Kory L. If they're looking to replace Kory L. then that must mean that he's having trouble coming back from injury. SmootSmack 04-29-2012, 02:53 PM Kory L. You said you weren't sure if LeRibeus was the guy to replace Kory L. If they're looking to replace Kory L. then that must mean that he's having trouble coming back from injury. No, no. They love him. Absolutely want to keep him around. But ideally he's the "6th man" of the OL because of all his versatility |
