Interesting about the Sanu pick... the NFL guys said that someone pranked him yesterday in the first round: Acted like the Bengals and told him they were taking him. His family started celebrating... sad! Interestingly, he gets picked by Cincy two rounds later.

Apparently the coaches have full confidence in their training regiment to correct for his lack of athletic polish.

His 3-cone drill and 20-yard shuttle are not awful, hence he's worth a shot.

His 40 time is absolutely irrelevant. Lichtensteiger has a 5.25 40 and he's still deemed athletic for an OL.

Josh LeRibeus

Biography: Broke into the starting lineup as a sophomore in 2009. Academically ineligible during the 2010 campaign.

Positives: Tough, explosive blocker who's effective in motion. Gets his hands into defenders, keeps his feet moving and turns opponents off the line. Displays solid overall body strength, plays with good quickness and keeps his head on a swivel. Recognizes stunts or twists thrown by opponents and plays with awareness. Anchors at the point of attack and does not give up an inch to defenders. Fluid moving across the line of scrimmage, quick out to the second level and out-positions linebackers from the action.

Negatives: Occasionally late getting his hands into defenders. Lacks classic height for an interior blocker.

Analysis: LeRibus returned to form in 2011 and made scouts take notice with his exceptional play. He's a solid prospect with the ability to line up for a number of offensive systems in the NFL and could eventually develop into a starter.

Projection: 7-FA

Love how everyone one is a GM and college scout. It's one thing to question time management, play calling and even FA signings. They had a good draft last year so I will hold back all of criticisms on this draft for a while.

I refrain from criticizing the players themselves, as you said, they definitely know more than us but one thing that even a novice can question is the logic behind taking a guy with a high rnd pick that would have been available later. The fact that the guy ate himself off his team for a year tells me he would have still been there in the later rounds. I really hope this guy works out. With all the high round picks we traded away for Griffin we definitely needed to land a future starter with this pick. Hopefully we did that.

He's not Trent Williams athletically but he does have very good footwork and a decent bench press - 225 29 reps (Trent Williams had 23 reps at his combine). I think he will be fine.
