Low waisted, stiff hipped, bump and steer blocker who is more effective than pretty. Nice initial quickness and solid base strength.

Josh Leribeus?
I thought you were joking/making up a name.
And wow we took this Lebreius guy over Brandon Taylor, possibly the next Ryan Clark for Artie Langs brother..

Wow. Why reach so big for him? I am so disappointed. What a waste. I waited all night for this? Plenty of better zone OGs and OTs on the board. Bleep Bruce Allen.
Josh LeRibeus
Possesses a solid frame. But isn't real quick off the snap and struggles reaching defenders trying to shoot off his frame. Doesn't play with great leverage, can be overwhelmed on contact and lacks the fluidity/foot quickness to slide his feet through contact.
Is a tough kid who wants to stick through contact in the run game. However, doesn't have a ton of natural snap/power into contact.
Impression: Struggles to initially set, drop his pad level and anchor through contact. Isn't a legit draftable prospect.
Grade: 5.2
Projection: FA

OVERVIEW
Leribeus returned for his senior campaign after being academically ineligible as a junior, and was the same scrappy, reliable inside blocker that he has been throughout his career. He has the size and technique inside to play early at the next level or be a reliable backup, which gives him fifth-round value as a guard or potential center.
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS Leribeus is a very good scheme and overall run blocker in SMU's offense. He is quick off the ball with his first step and almost always gets his hands on blocks early. He is an active player who will fight to sustain his blocks downfield. He shows good effort and motor to stay with the play and is just as effective when working in space as a puller. Some small issues with his footwork and athletic ability show up when he tries to work to the second level, but overall he almost always finds a way to block his man.
WEAKNESSES Leribeus is a bit slow and struggles athletically. This could be a problem at the next level, as he isn't a very strong or explosive blocker. He would be better served to work within a zone blocking scheme where he isn't expected to fully move defenders.

Yeah, it took longer than normal trying to find a good breakdown of the guy. Many projected him as a FA signing.

Yes, we passed up on some talent at skill positions BUT when you bring in a rookie quarterback into the NFC east you better be able to protect him right away. I don't know the player yet but I like the position we picked.

Shanny and Allen have surprised me with some unknowns so far so I'll give it a chance.
Is it me, or has ESPN started completely ignoring the actual picks as soon as the 3rd starts. As much as I appreciate a 20 minute circle jerk about Russel Wilson -- do your job and announce picks, as they happen, along with a quick blurb about each player.
