^ I'd rather have that as the drummed up distraction over the cousins pick...

I figure i'd put this hear. we have seen in many interviews RGIII making the claim that he wasn't going to buy a new flashy Bently like the other skins players. HE was basically gonna ride his Chrystler to camp and Redskins Park. Most of us found it refreshing. However then I found this TMZ styled website claiming that his fiance was out shopping for a Bently's in Bethesda.

BECKY GOT A BENTLEY!!! Top NFL Draft Pick ROBERT GRIFFIN III's Fiance Just Bought Herself A New Car . . . A BENTLEY!!! - MediaTakeOut.com™ 2012 (http://cdn.mediatakeout.com/55738/becky-got-a-bentley-top-nfl-draft-pick-robert-griffin-iii-s-fiance-just-bought-herself-a-new-car-a-bentley.html)

I don't care what car Robert drives or his chick for that matter... but if this is true I knda feel like why lie about something so small. Why make a big deal about not buying a car, not being a pre- madonna if you know you will. Does he think fans are stupid? Maybe Im over reacting but it seems kinda two faced IMO.

He is SUPPOSED to buy his woman a Bentley. lol If he said he will drive a Pacifica to practice then I believe him. When he decides to buy a nice car for himself then good for him - I will not hold it against him. It does not make him a liar or a "pre-madonna".

Have you seen him driving a Bentley to practice?

No, he doesn't think fans are stupid. Yes, you are over reacting.

Wait, what?
Since when is there something wrong with a dude buying something nice for girl?

Wasn't Jesus' grandma a pre-Madonna?

Dude, it's media take out. I troll that site and its scuzzier than TMZ. Get some reliable sources. Pleeeasssee.

And when I say scuzzier, while some of the things are true and pan out... Think of Weekly World News but celebrity gossip. There ya go.

Robert Griffin III Will Keep Driving His Chrysler Pacifica, If His Dad Has Anything To Say About It - Half Smokes - SB Nation DC (http://dc.sbnation.com/2012/3/22/2893475/robert-griffin-iii-car-dan-snyder-chrysler-pacifica)

Such a non-story. People are acting like he held a tour of press conferences to specifically address the type of car he would drive

Maybe if we were Detroit, and the draft pick was trying to kiss up to a specific auto maker, I would understand the thinking that he was trying to pull one over on the fans. But does anyone here really care what he drives? Sounds more like his dad was protecting his son's integrity or values, then declaring an outright ban on Bentley's for anyone named Griffin.

I still can't get over this even causing a minor ripple. Fans and media can get hilarious.

Guess we better get used to hearing crap like this. My wife says lately he's been in TMZ almost daily. They had a blurb about him eating a pizza the day of the draft. He got pepperoni in case anyone cares. He said he got cheese. Not sure why he would lie about stuff like that. What a jerk.

Here's what I know. Pretty much I am sure all pro athletes are precisely defined by the car they drive so by buying a Bentley for his lady he is clearly an awful person who only thinks about himself and doesn't care about football or his team. We are doomed and might as well get used to the fact that he is a selfish son of a b*tch.

On a related note. All athletes also should be held to the highest of scrutiny against the things they say off-handedly in interviews since they aren't actually human beings responding on-the-fly to unknown questions from reporters but rather sentient automatons with the ability to immediately calculate perfectly considered, precise and practical responses.

I don't care if people want to report it, but to get worked up over it and say RGIII must think fans are stupid and that he's two faced is idiotic

Couldn't have said it better.

I don't care what he buys his girl, I don't care what he says he's going to do or not going to do with his own money. All I care about is winning games. Why get caught up in any of this?

Reading this thread makes me feel the same way as when my wife turns on Entertainment Tonight... "who the F cares about this bulls___, I need a beer."
