Pierre Garcon, WR for the Washington Redskins at NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/player/pierregarcon/2346/profile)

Considering he had arguably the greatest QB of all-time throwing to him till last year, when he became the primary WR target for most of the season, I would call those pretty pedestrian numbers. Oh and he's a bit of a fumbler, especially for a WR.

You have to consider Manning has always spread the ball around pretty well aside from his main target Reggie Wayne. In 2010 for example, Wayne 111 catches, Tamme 67, Garcon 67, Collie 58.

3 fumbles in 4 seasons and he's a fumbler?

For comparison Gaffney has the same number of fumbles in 10 seasons. But more importantly Garcon fumbled twice last season and lost both...that's inexcusable for a WR and especially for one who didn't even break 1000 yards.

Your point on Wayne is a good one though, he was a legit #1 for Manning unlike Garcon.

So the rationale is if you're a wide receiver and you fumble twice, but still have over 1000 yards, it's all good? I'd worry about it if it became a trend, not a one-year anomaly.

Gaffney has always been a decent second guy, but being a non-deep threat with so-so agility means his value to the team is actually not as high as his yardage total would hint at.

Am I the only one here who likes Gaffney? I thought he did a good job last season.

I liked Gaffney last year, but he's nothing special and he's certainly replaceable.

Whatever happens with Gaffney, I'm looking forward to seeing Garcon, Hankerson, and Morgan in action this season. But I hope Gaffney can stay.

How's that Gaffney trade thing going? Nobody is going to trade for a WR who is in his 30's and was told he would be sqeezed out this yr.
