Update: Redskins Add S Tanard Jackson and Madieu Williams and CB Leigh Torrencebertoskins2 04-11-2012, 12:37 PM camp bodies The Goat 04-11-2012, 02:13 PM At Fletcher's age his production could fall off very fast and sudden. Who knows if he's even playing in 2 or 3 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Disagree, apart from the obvious risk of injury. London is arguably the most dedicated guy on the roster (to his health) and shows more fire in his belly year after year. I think he's set for at least two and probably three years, barring injury of course. ...looking at London's body type though and his excellent technique and injury just isn't a big worry IMO. GMScud 04-11-2012, 02:56 PM I'd like to see how Jenkins fits into this DL. I don't remember him having a ton of production coming out of school or blowing scouts away at the combine last year. I do remember a high motor and good agility. Weak upper body? He was having arguably the best training camp of any D-lineman last year as a rookie before he got hurt. I fully expect him to push Carriker for a starting spot at DE this year. Monkeydad 04-11-2012, 03:15 PM At first glance at the TV this morning, I thought it said we signed Terrance Newman. I almost threw my bowl of cereal. I forgot all about Leigh Torrence. He should be safe from Bountygate suspensions...he would have had to actually hurt someone. http://www.leightorrence.com/home.php (http://www.leightorrence.com/home.php) MTK 04-11-2012, 03:20 PM Disagree, apart from the obvious risk of injury. At his age you just don't know. It's happened to plenty of guys before. I'm not predicting anything, just saying with a guy his age it's something to keep in mind. I think he's lost maybe a half step in the past couple of years. Nothing that he isn't able to compensate for with his smarts, but the fact is he's an old player. los panda 04-11-2012, 03:47 PM At first glance at the TV this morning, I thought it said we signed Terrance Newman. The things I like about Barnes besides him being a former Terp is he shows lots of hustle. What I don't like about Barnes is that he struggles in coverage. At least we'll see Torrence and Barnes compete in preseason for the nickle back position. As for Madieu Williams is another former Terripin. I'd be more comfortable seeing him starting @ SS instead of Meriweather. A defensive back who "struggles in coverage" is a liability. There is just no way to get around that... Chico23231 04-11-2012, 06:36 PM i wanted newman any word on his contract? looks like he will be busy chasing WRs into the endzone in a Bengals uniform. skinsfaninok 04-11-2012, 06:43 PM Newman is 34 no thanks Bubba305-ST21- 04-11-2012, 06:45 PM tanard jackson wouldve been a better pickup than both of these 2 put together |
