We're definitely going the Spurrier route of cheap and available guys.
Also, as you said, cap.
They are decent stopgaps for the 2012 season and will be replaced shortly thereafter.

Maybe this has been addressed in other threads, but...
Are they sitting on signing Fletcher back? or is there some other reason (cap space, etc etc) that they seem to be not trying to jump on this?
Fletcher wants 6mil per for 3yrs and that is not a cap friendly # or realistic for a 37yr old lb. I heard the skins offered around 4mil. If the market settles & he doesn't get anybody too bite for his # then he'll be back, if not its better to let him go one yr early than too late.

Agree we are normally known for holding on to most aging players to long (I want Fletcher back but at the right price). A player his age & who plays his position normally signs 1yr deals.

Really unpopular to say, but very true. Short term it would be a major blow to lose him, but at some point age will catch up to him and I'd hate for it to be year 2 of a 3 year deal we are locked into.

Yep, because that's Torrence or Williams related.
If we are going to overpay a little for a player....let it be LF. He brings powerful intangible to the table as well....
