It's good to have experience on the coaching staffs. A lot of NFL have coordinators and even position coaches who were once head coaches or those who will likely be head coaches in the future. If Raheem Morris ends up being the head coach of the Redskins someday, that would be a good thing. I'm not sure Kyle Shanahan is ready for such a demanding position.
WT? come on man, how can you know? Morris sucked which is why he was fired. KS's offensive scheme is not that bad so I doubt he would do as bad as Morris did.

Wow, this thread lasted longer than I thought it would originally. Thanks Smoot for the changes.

Maybe, maybe not. I like Kyle Shanahan as an offensive coordinator. Whether he does well enough on a consistent basis in order to become a head coach is another thing altogether. Norv Turner was probably the best offensive coordinator in the modern NFL but his head coaching record is one of the worst. Josh McDaniels was one of the best offensive coordinators of recent time, but he was terrible as a head coach. George Seifert was another great offensive coordinator and inherited a winning 49ers team when Bill Walsh stepped down. But since winning a Super Bowl in 1989 and 1994, Seifert most recent head coaching gig was with the Carolina Panthers in 2001 before he was fired after a 1-15 season.
Lately, it has been the defensive coordinators who mostly succeed as head coaches in the NFL.
Whether Kyle Shanahan becomes a head coach with the Redskins or for any other team in the NFL remains to be seen.

I have hope, but then again every year I do.
Griffin will make the O line look better. We will not reach the playoffs next year. We will be within a gm of 500.

A+
1.We got RGIII, RGIII, did anyone watch the guy play? Awesome QB.
2. We only gave up 1 pick in the next 3 drafts to get him (2nd this year, 2 # 1's). I don't count #6 because we didn't lose that pick we improved it. You can find good starters and depth in the 3rd, 4th, 5th rounds this year and then starting with the 2nd round the next 2 seasons. Just look at our last draft.
3. We got Pierre Garcon, who going into FA I was hoping we would get instead of V. Jax. He can be a # 1 receiver and with RGIII there will be some explosive plays that we have always lacked. I miss Gary Clark, my favorite football player of all time.
4. We resigned Fletcher and Carriker to keep our front 7 intact.
5. We signed A LOT of depth in the secondary position. I can live with Hall, Wilson, and Griffin as our top 3 corners. With Williams, Jackson, Gomes, and Merriweather as our safeties.
6. O-line will be a work in progress with in the draft, but we did resign 2 of our guys plus James Lee for some tackle depth.
7. We got freaking RGIII!!!
Its time to finally start thinking positive about the franchise we root for, no more doomsday attitudes.

You didn't need Josh Morgan. Should have gone after Eddie more than Josh. Shouldn't have gone after really either Eddie or Josh, and should have gone after Eric Winston.

Well apparently Winston didn't want to come here.
