That Guy 04-10-2012, 12:13 AM I had a friend who used it, and basically, yes it works, but if you ever stop using it, you'll be bald very very quickly. I think the more permenant thing is hair transplantation, but i really know very little about this, so i don't have much else to offer. Thanks, I've heard that too so idk but I do know that I don't want to be bald by 27 lol so I'm desperate los panda 04-10-2012, 12:27 AM if i ever start losing hair, i'm going to embrace it w open arms. bald and fat is how i'd like to die skinsfaninok 04-10-2012, 12:30 AM if i ever start losing hair, i'm going to embrace it w open arms. bald and fat is how i'd like to die I always said that too... But I'm only 25 lol mooby 04-10-2012, 06:09 AM Yeah I'm only 23 and my hair is already starting to thin. I figure it's going to happen eventually because my dad is bald and you can already start to see the signs, but I didn't think it would start to happen this early. People have told me to check out Rogaine, Hair Club for Men, etc. but I honestly don't want to use a product that will make me go bald if I ever stop using it. I think when the time comes I'm just going to shave my head and embrace it. I'd rather be bald than look like my coworker, who still rocks (note: I use 'rocks' very loosely here) a combover. dmek25 04-10-2012, 06:40 AM mooby, im with you. when it happens, break out the razor and shave it up tight. but im also 50, and sporting a semi full head of hair MTK 04-10-2012, 08:09 AM I went through the same thing in my early 30s. I just learned to accept it, now I just keep my hair buzzed down short. If you can hold on for another 5 years or so, a real cure might be on the way BBC News - Clue to male baldness discovered (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-17457098) Schneed10 04-10-2012, 08:52 AM So basically you'll end up with less hair than you started with? No. It's just that you need to keep using Rogaine to sustain the hair growth. If you stop using it, all the hair that would have fallen out by that point will fall out in a short time frame. So you'll go from nice head of hair to as bald as you would have been without Rogaine in a very short time, which is an emotional shock. A buddy of mine had hair transplantation done a few years ago, looks good. |
