I beg to disagree. We saw plays that were not in Kyle's playbook a few months ago. It is more than just personnel - Kyle has flexibly changed his scheme.

The bubble screens are basically the same as the WR screens that they've been running since 2010. I did notice the option play being ran. But they said way back in the offseason that they were going to incorporate that into their playbook. They couldn't have run plays like this last season and the season before that with McNabb, Beck, and Grossman. It took a much different kind of QB in order to incorporate those kinds of plays. So, change in personnel does have something to do with it.

Good Start for the offense. No one had any film before today, lets put the brakes on playcalling and upgrades to personnel. Let's see how they adjust to the adjustments that the defenses they play will make against them. Nice clean game (no turnovers)against the Saints, no doubt.

It's the more stellar defenses that will adjust to what the Redskins will do offensively. The Ravens, Steelers, and Cowboys each have the best defenses that the Redskins will face this season. But Kyle Shanahan and Griffin III will be watching film of those defenses too. It will be interesting to see how these defenses will handle RG3 and how Kyle Shanahan options to attack each one.

I didn't disagree with the idea that the change in personnel has changed the offense. Only a fool would disagree with that.

However, the bubble screens are not the same as the ones we have run before because we have never, until now, run them from the pistol formation.

You are seriously underselling the changes in Kyle's schemes. We had read options, sprint options, QB keepers, and bootleg options which had never before appeared in a Kyle offense. We ran these new plays A LOT. Some of these plays were straight out of the Baylor playbook.

We have a brand new offensive scheme this year and anyone who says that the changes are merely in personnel is not appreciating some of the finer points of offensive strategy. Kyle is bringin' it on the chalkboard.
