I have a question for everyone............
Let's say a miracle happens and Art Monk gets into the Hall Of Fame next year..........Does the player who played for multiple teams get to pick the uniform he goes under.......Or is it always the last team he played for?

I'm almost 100% positive he gets to pick the team, just like in the other sports

Brady and Teddy Bruschi will probably enter the hall of fame before Monk does.

In baseball the HoF chooses what team you go in under. In football I believe the player can choose.

Did Joe Montana resign with the 49ers for a day? If he did, I dont remember, but I dont think he did. He went into the hall as a 49er, if I'm not mistaken. I think they can choose.

Actually, I'm wondering now does it even matter really? I mean in baseball they put the hat of the team on the player's bust. But in the NFL it's just a generic bust with a little synopsis of the player's career underneath. So there's really no uniform to worry about, right?

Well here ya go:

Is a New Hall of Fame Member Enshrined as a Member of a Team?
Obviously, teams take great pride in the accomplishments of individuals who have been a part of their organization. Often individual teams and even the Hall of Fame will list enshrinees according to the team or teams on which they spent a significant period of time. An enshrinee, however, is not asked to “declare,” nor does the Hall of Fame “choose” a team under which a new member is enshrined. When elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an individual is recognized for his accomplishments as a player, coach, or contributor.

I thought the thread meant a HOF for referees. I was just imagining how small that building would be.

That HoF could be housed in a phone booth and there'd be lots of room left over...
