Chico, I disagree about the adult/child designation. At 17, if the role was reversed, he would have been charged as an adult. From 16-21 our country is awash in mixed signals about minor vs adult, but when someone uses the term "child" for a 17 yo teen male, it's a tad misleading. This coming from the father of a 16 yo teen "boy".

For this case, the only question is whether or not TM was physically capable of putting a beat down on GZ - regardless of whether you call him a "kid" "child" "teen" "young man" or "banana".

When u are 17 you are a young man, not a child.

It would appear murder 2 is off the table. Jury is asking for a clarification on the instructions for manslaughter.
I bet it has something to do with the intent needed. General intent to cause harm or specific intent to harm a particular person. Pure speculation on my part.

Thats odd...the minimum sentance for manslaughter is 9.5 years without the possibility of parole.

lol ... could be. On the other hand, they may not be as open minded as you ... murder 2 appears to be off the table and they could be trying to figure out if they think there is even enough for manslaughter.
Read whatever you want into it saden1. It's in the blackbox now and anybody trying to interpret what's going on is just trying to read tea leaves.

Well look what we have here:
Report: George Zimmerman special prosecutor fires IT chief who raised discovery concerns - OrlandoSentinel.com (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/trayvon-martin/os-george-zimmerman-whistleblower-fired-20130713,0,2426704.story)
That most likely lead prosecutor Berniede la Rionda had huge amounts of Trayvon Martin's cell phone data, probably already back in 2012, without telling the defence.
He was concerned that he might have criminal liability because the lead prosecutor appeared to be hiding from the defense exculpatory evidence.
That the lead prosecutor appeared to intentionally give Trayvon Martin's cell phone data to the defense in an unreadable format.
He was so concerned he sought legal advice and counsel.
That Zimmerman prosecutor Angela Corey's office policy regarding e-mail was not to put case names or ID information the the subject field, to intentionally make finding e-mails difficult and get around federal and state e-mail retention requirements.
Guy who testified the prosecutor withheld evidence has been fired. Go figure.

That's what they say, but I'm sure they'll let him out on GB
