I have tried one on and like the fit much better than my Reebok Portis jersey. The sleeves are not as long, which is a good thing. Also, it seems to be more form-fitting, almost like it's tailored compared to the Reebok jerseys where the torso section is shapes like a barrel.
Now, my chest is bigger than my stomach/lower torso, so I can't speak to the fit for those who are more "round" but if you're in shape it will fit nice. I like my shirts to have a tighter fit.
nike 40 is equal to reebok size 48 so you have to take care when buying one for yourself about the size chart.

The numbers on the back of the jerseys are really big on Madden 13. I had to look closer to see if the numbers had gold bordering.

The new jerseys are a much nicer fit. I always felt like I was swimming in the old reebok ones.
Good example here

This is not news but it's the first I've heard about it. Goodell = The Grinch
http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2011/1229/nfl_u_pierre-thomas_mb_600.jpg
New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas has been fined $12,500 for a uniform violation and a touchdown celebration in which he placed a bow on a football and gave it to a fan during the Saints' win over the Atlanta Falcons. Pierre Thomas was fined $12,500 for his Christmas-themed celebration Monday night.
The fine for the celebration is $7,500. Thomas also violated NFL policies by wearing Christmas-themed green and red tape on his black and gold Saints uniform, and his fine for that is $5,000.
The Saints players wearing the red and green tape were not only fined, but told at halftime by the league that if they did not remove it, they could not play the second half.

Wow that has to be a marketing thing. The NFL can't afford to offend other religions I guess.

Wow that has to be a marketing thing. The NFL can't afford to offend other religions I guess.it's just a violation of uniform rules. all tape, wristbands, sleeves, shoes, etc. must be within the team's color scheme. that's all
