We did the 1930s-'40 throwback before. 1994. Looked horrible with a modern helmet.

Looks so much better with the leather helmet...makes a huge difference!
I bet their unis are a solid burgundy with some kind of drab colored pants. That would scream 1932 to me

Call me a stick in the mud. I dont like them and i dont like throw back uniforms in general. They dont look like my Redskins.

To those morons...we had the colors first. We also had the spear first so THEY look like US!
Is that true, did the Redskins have that before Boston College?
Either way, the fact that they both were in Boston at one point probably has something to do with those colors.
And again, I love the helmets! It's just what my buddies were joking about a couple of weeks back, a leather helmet look. Didn't necessarily think it would happen. Glad it did

Black facemask for the black fans.
I'm really digging these, one of the classier throwbacks out there.
I think they are cool, could have been allot worse. I am disappointed in the 80th anniversary logo though, they took the easy rote and just modified the 75th, laziness if you ask me.
Hey, I'm white and I like the black facemask also. ;)

LOVE the helmets. I'm impressed. Are they leather-wrapped or is that just an incredible graphics job?
From what I understand its a vinyl like wrap similar to what they do in Nascar with the different "paint" jobs every week.

I must agree... Though I like they way these look but when I see the skins play in throwbacks its weird for me .... I dunno man
