i think we should draft robert gallery in the 2nd round or trade for steve hutchinson. but seriously, i'm kind of glad carlson signed with the vikings. a 2 te set with davis and cooley sounds doable. i want ross or newman, the rest we can find in the draft

its kinda tough to compare being that Laron hasnt played consistently on the field the last 2 years. I dont this is a situation where you can compare. If Laron is 100% healthy, its no comparison, Laron is a better player.We can compare Landry the last two years to Meriweather the last two years just how they were and still conclude that Landry was worth about $5 million more per year than Meriweather signed for.

Whoever said draft a safety in the third rd has a pretty good idea. We def need another prototypical safety, even if Barnes converts to one.

im ok with the signing, low risk high reward. but i think we need to still address this position whether it be picking up reggie nelson at FS or drafting one in the 3rd. IMO i think Barnes is below average at best as a player, he always seems to be out of position and when he is he is always flailing around and missing tackles.

He does'nt have an achillies injury that will keep him from playing the rest of his career. Also, he probably came real cheap.

Im not Meriweather fan and its definitely not an upgrade but i would suspect Merriweather is a hell of a lot cheaper than Landry is gonna be. So at a cost standpoint Meriweather may give us more options. Maybe we can still keep LL?
