It always is encouraging when we sign players (Garcon & Morgan) that their old teams wanted to keep but for some reason couldn't. Means they saw some value in their 4 years there. Player-friendly, not team friendly. Redskins got a pretty good bargain on Carriker though. Feel like Redskins are going to hold out and try to "win" against Fletcher, where they were okay to give Garcon the eye-popping numbers he was looking for. Good. Garçon is 25. Fletcher is 36. If we're going to invest Big in someone it should be the guy who will still be in the nfl in 5 years. Fletcher is excellent, but his best days are behind them. He's going to hit a wall sooner or later and I'd rather lose him a year too early than hold on to him a year too long. It's a tough situation but that's how a responsible team operates.
