a point someone made earlier is still sticking with me.

Marques Colston signed a smaller deal to stay in New Orleans, and was considered the best or second best WR on the market. Pierre was the third best and got a bigger offer. Thats either bad negotiating by us or Marques knows he's not that good without brees. somethings off here..

a) not everyone considered Garcon as third best
b) Colston took the "home-town" discount. Garcon preferred market competition and uprooting his family
c) although Garcon got more, the two deals are pretty similar

I'm also someone puzzled with the signing of these 3 receivers. None are that special and just more of what they usually get at WR... small receivers who can't break away from the defensive backs covering them. At least all 3 of these guys are young. But where is the 6-3, 220 WR that can be the go-to person when you need a first down... maybe Hankerson if he stops dropping passes.

I sure hope to hear of some great OL and DL FA picks here pretty soon... fingers crossed.

Also skins had to beat Indys offer. Colston had no other offer to beat.

How is that possible with our cap reduction? Are we just saying '**** it, we'll do what we want' to Goodell?

Yes I believe we are, although it's directed more towards owners than it is Goodell. And I personally support this strategy.

Ya seems like overkill. Doesn't bode well for my boy Santana.

My guess is they cut Gaffney soon, Moss after June 1st, or both.Man, I hope not.
Seems like they got quantity more then quality.
There are only a finite number of targets.
But, we have far more WRs then possible targets or catch opportunities.

The funny thing (or not so funny if they cut Gaffney and/or Moss) is that using advanced metrics from Football Outsiders Gaffney was ranked higher in DYAR/DVOA then Garcon whose DYAR/DVOA were equal to Tana playing through a broken hand.

Who are we looking at for the DEFENSE?

Right now I see our draft looking like Defense, a RB, an OL player, and of course Mr. RGIII.

Now I am excited about the RGIII deal!

One could argue that Gaffney and Moss have their best football behind them while Garcon likely has his best yet to come.

Anyone notice that we gave Garcon more than Colston got? Or that Josh Morgan is getting 6 mil a year? Any news on how much Royal is getting? Shit I wish we got Winston instead of Morgan...

Has the draft pick trade with the Rams been approved yet.
