Bubba305-ST21- 03-13-2012, 08:55 PM yea i think safety and RT are our main needs now, for safety i like reggie nelson or dwight lowrey NYCskinfan82 03-13-2012, 08:56 PM I'd be 100% on board if this way worked, but it never does. I don't see any of the winning organizations doing this every year. I understand Royal has the connection but he really is just another ho hum wr. I'd just rather see if Paul & Hank can progress since we drafed them and they have a year under the offense. It's the constant falling in love w/ other teams players. As for Garcon... Doesn't Luck need wr's just as much as RG3? So why'd Indy just let him walk? Yeah...that makes me skeptical. Indy didn't let him walk, they offered him a contract 5yr 35mil don't know how much was guaranted and he said NO. PG knows there rebuilding and probably wanted out IMO. skinsfan69 03-13-2012, 08:56 PM 1) Hank will still be around and maybe Paul. 2) Indy offered Garcon $7 mil a year and he turned them down. They hardly "just let him walk." OK...wasn't aware of that. CultBrennan59 03-13-2012, 08:58 PM a point someone made earlier is still sticking with me. Marques Colston signed a smaller deal to stay in New Orleans, and was considered the best or second best WR on the market. Pierre was the third best and got a bigger offer. Thats either bad negotiating by us or Marques knows he's not that good without brees. somethings off here.. CapitalDefense 03-13-2012, 08:58 PM - Moss' deadcap hits would be $4M in 2012, or after June 1st $2M in 2012 and $2M in 2013. - DHall saves us $6M no matter when we cut him. His deadcap hits are negligible. In the past teams could cut one player right now and designate him as June 1 cut but get the savings you mentioned right now? Is that correct? SmootSmack 03-13-2012, 08:59 PM Did some quick calculations on the recent signings. Here are the cap hits I've come up with so far given the info out there (000s): Carriker 2012: $2,750 2013: $4,750 2014: $5,750 2015: $6,750 TOTAL: $20,000 Garcon 2012: $7,300 2013: $7,300 2014: $8,300 2015: $9,300 2016: $10,300 TOTAL: $42,500 Morgan 2012: $2,200 2013: $2,300 2014: $2,500 2015: $2,500 2016: $2,500 TOTAL: $12,000 Garcon's getting 13.5 in year one, 7.25 in year two, and 7.25 in year 3...unconfirmed CultBrennan59 03-13-2012, 08:59 PM yea i think safety and RT are our main needs now, for safety i like reggie nelson or dwight lowrey Dwights the real deal. Don't think we have interest in him.. I heard we have interest in Jim Leonard. Bubba305-ST21- 03-13-2012, 09:00 PM i dont minde cutting hall but if we do who in gods name is our starting corner along with wilson? i would love carr but i dont think we have enough money mbedner3420 03-13-2012, 09:01 PM Garcon's getting 13.5 in year one, 7.25 in year two, and 7.25 in year 3...unconfirmed How is that possible with our cap reduction? Are we just saying '**** it, we'll do what we want' to Goodell? SkinzWin 03-13-2012, 09:02 PM i dont minde cutting hall but if we do who in gods name is our starting corner along with wilson? i would love carr but i dont think we have enough money Talking to CB Eric Wright |
